Decent Product
This collar does discourage our dog's barking. I purchase this because we often stay at hotels and guest houses, and I do not want her barking at every unknown noise throughout the night. It has an internal timer which should beep/vibrate initially then progress to a shock after several seconds of continuous barking if enabled. I do believe that she has learned that she can bark a few times without shock, though it is clear the beep and vibrate does have some effect on her. I wish this had an option to disable or reduce the time delay, so we could stop her at the initial bark.

Electronics are sub par but when it worked, it worked well
Unfortunately I’ve gone through two of these and there’s been something wrong with the electronics on both. My first one would turn itself off after my dog wore it for a few hours. I wrote to the support email and the seller was great and sent me a second one, but that one didn’t hold a charge overnight. That said, when they were working they worked well. I have a puppy with a high pitched yelp and I set it on sensitivity #4. Just the beep and vibration worked to arrest her barking. I would have given more stars if the units’ electonics worked better.

Great for barking and chewing
Normally my dog does not bark but lately she has been going crazy with our neighbors. Our neighbors are remodeling their home and she has been non-stop all day. Bought this collar to help combat that, and I am so glad I did. What I love about this collar is I don't have to be home for it to be activated. It senses when she starts barking and will automatically vibrate and she'll stop. I tried the beeping and unfortunately it did not work. However as soon as it starts vibrating, she will stop barking, this seems to annoy her. Another thing she started doing was chewing up our fence and growling. This was not the fence where our neighbors were doing construction but rather our back fence, and no other dog or animal lives at that house. With the chewing she was growling and the collar sensed this and started vibrating. However we noticed with the growling there was a small bark she would let out with that growl and that's what would set the collar off. Since having this collar on for a few weeks now, she has started to stopped chewing the fence. As for the neighbors, she's not barking as much. While she will start to give out a little bark here and there, as soon as the vibrating starts she will stop. During the first week of having this collar, I had to charge this every other day. However, I have not had to charge it for a full week now because she doesn't bark as much. Hopefully when the construction is done next door, I will no longer have to keep this on her. For now, the collar is working great.

Worked great while it... worked. Battery stopped taking charge after about 10 uses
I really liked the flexibility of this collar. We always turned the shock to 0 and relayed on the vibration and noise settings. It was nice that you can modify levels, sensitivity and turning shock on/off via the buttons on the bottom.Cons: uses a non-usb connector on the collar end meaning you will have to have an extra charger lying around vs being able to use existing cables. Also the battery stopped taking charge after ~ 10 uses making it totally useless. I would have expected it to last longer for $20 given how many options there are in this price point.

The collar works very well and the price worth it.
I have 6 German Shepherds. When one gets wound up they all chime in. Using these collars has really been a plus. They all became familiar to the beep and after a 2 weeks they don't trigger the warning beep.

Cheap plastic clasp
We do not need to use this collar very often as our dog only barks in certain situations. When his barking gets to the point that he gets shocked, he would paw/scratch at it. The 4th or 5th time he wore it, he succeeded in breaking the receiver side of the clasp. It wasn't until this happened that I noticed how thin and flimsy the plastic is.As for the device itself, it seems finicky and inconsistent. Once it decides that a bark is a bark, it becomes overly sensitive to every noise. Sometimes just loud talking is enough to trigger it to beep. Even the result seems inconsistent between beep and beep and shock.Honestly, if you are going to go with shock training, get a multipurpose unit that uses a remote control rather than this inconsistent, flimsy thing. That way you can train when barking is acceptable vs unacceptable, and use it for other avoidance training (digging, eating mulch, jumping on visitors, etc.)

If you have a loud dog, you’ll thank me later!
With two dogs who bark there heads off at the littlest of things, this has been a life saver! It doesn't shock them unless they consistently bark. By dogs learned real quick to stop! It makes a loud noise first, then it buzzes a few times and my dogs have never even reached the shocking! It is perfect and stays charged for long periods of time !
