NWS140-69-205 Workshop Nose Pliers Straight 205 mm

I’m typically a big fan of NWS and think they’re in the running for best luxury pliers brand out there, but unfortunately I was not impressed with the quality of these specific pliers when I got them. There was a significant amount of play at the ends of the plier tips when I squeezed them, and for a set of pliers this expensive that’s really not acceptable. You’re paying to have a set that feels sturdy in your hands and that doesn’t deform with normal stress. Otherwise you might as well just go to the nearest local hardware store and pick up a cheap pair for $10 with equivalent results. I ended up returning these and buying a pair of equivalent Knipex pliers and even had a chance to compare them head to head before giving them back to Amazon, and there was a big difference between the two. Absolutely no play at the tips for practically the same price. That being said, it’s still worth looking into the other NWS products that are offered, such as their combo pliers, because those really are high-quality and are worth having multiple sets in your house if you can afford it. They are practically indestructible.

I'm an engineer and a huge tool fanatic! I generally try and buy from the higher end and NWS definitely qualifies as a higher end manufacturer. These round nose pliers are from their 69 series they use the same three part over moulding as their VDE pliers but without the finger guards. Excellent pliers for general purpose use. Black oxide coating is nice and uniform and offers good corrosion resistance. The finishing work is generally good but there are a couple of spots that could have been cleaned up a bit better before coating but I'm really splitting hairs. That said, it has no bearing on the useability of the tool.I now have the entire set of these pliers and I love them. They're comfortable, look good and very robust.

Di questa marca già usavo una pinza a becchi lunghi curvi e quindi mi sono fidato. Quella acquistata ora ha becchi lunghi retti e semi tondi. La struttura è piuttosto solida, l'impugnatura è elettricamente isolata con materiale gommoso che facilita la presa anche grazie alla sagomatura. Ha anche due lame per troncare e la lunghezza delle leve consente di ottimizzare lo sforzo. Ottime anche per lavori di elettronica ed elettricità. Sono soddisfatto

Erstmalig habe ich eine Zange dieser Marke gekauft, in der Regel verwende ich Knipex-Zangen. Das Design und die Haptik finde ich richtig gut. Entweder habe ich ein Montagsmodell erwischt, oder es mangelt an der QS. Eine Spitzzange in dieser Dimension muss an der Spitze schliessen, tut meine jedoch nicht. Ich behalte sie trotzdem, der Aufwand für die Rücksendung ist mir zu hoch bei diesem Einkaufspreis. (Stände milwaukee drauf für den doppelten Preis, wäre das anders). Die Zange greift an der Spitze bei einer Greiftiefe von 1cm nur 0,25cm (siehe Fotos). Eine andere Markenzange greift bis zur Spitze.Update: Die Zange wurde zurückgegeben und erneut bestellt. Die neue Zange entspricht ist zu 100% in Ordnung und hätte 5 Sterne verdient. Da aber anscheinend auch mangelhafte Produkte das Werk verlassen, erhöhe ich auf "nur" 4 Sterne.
