Can these cut though 22 Gauge wire?

I just checked amazon.com. You may buy a wire cutter for about $5.00. Why on earth would you use a $20 NAIL CLIPPER to "cut though 22 Gauge wire"?

Made in which country?

Some people here blether on about the quality, the design, etc, etc. No one seems to realize that it is a LAW that the country of manufacture be disclosed AND printed legibly on the product. This is a legal requirement. This manufacturer / seller ignores it, and so does Amazon. That should tell you all you need to know.

Has anyone had trouble with these rusting? I've had stainless clippers (Seki) rust before, on the pivot point.

I will add to the first response by Wendy. 420 stainless is one of the least ‘stainless’ of the stainless steels. However its one of the hardest and is great for cutting. Take care of it and it wont rust. But it can rust.

i am looking to get this for my 70yr old mom. i saw 1 negative comment thats its too bulky/heavy for the weak. Has anyone tried to suggest otherwise?

It is heavy, but more heavy as in sturdy vs flimsy. I think a 70 year old would do just fine with the clippers.
