The build quality of this product is actually pretty good. Is made of a flexible yet sturdy material work no sharp edges or spurs.The problem we found with this product is with the design, and specifically with the draining lip. Instead of a flat edged lip, Rubbermaid has opted for a rounded one. This means that any water that doesn't drain directly from the middle should into the rim of our sink and travels under the drain board. Our sink only has a 1 inch rim around it, meaning the clearance this drain board provides is minimal.If you have a sink with a rim wider than 1 inch expect to have to lift the board after each use to wipe up water (essentially defeating the purpose of having one of these in the first place).

This barely fit my sink. water is not directed in to sink very well. I have another Rubbermaid dish rack with a clear tray. The clear tray I have is indented about 3 inches on each side at the leading edge (part that hangs over sink). Water drains properly with that one. This does not. My sink is 16"w x 18"L inside measurement. My current rack and tray cost me about $15.00 Can. This tray is 18" wide. My current tray is about 19 and half inches wide. Overpriced for 10 cents worth of hard plastic. I have a pic but it will not allow me to upload it.

We have many Rubbermaid products in the house, this is the first that we'll be returning. We needed a CLEAR drainboard,..this one is CLEARLY not. If it were clear, you'd be able to see the color of the paint through it. The plastic bag it came in is clear...but it is OPAQUE. If I wanted an OPAQUE one I would have bought one, but your listing said CLEAR and that was what we wanted. Not what we got, so you've wasted my time, Amazon time, some poor postal workers time because you don't know the difference between CLEAR and OPAQUE??? I wanted to leave a ZERO star but ONE is the lowest apparently.

Great! Identical to the one it was replacing, which I had for about 6+ years. Perfect size for my not big countertop. The Rubbermaid dish rack fits on top perfectly. Just an FYI; the shallow side (where the water empties from), is in the right. So far the water has dripped directly into the sink and not underneath the drain board. But after washing dishes, I always tilt the board into the sink, so the excess water runs off.
