The shelves are made of 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel and have double-thick edges and epoxy-coated cast aluminum corners for strength and stability. The edges on the shelves are raised to help contain liquid spills. Tapered split sleeves on the posts help hold and support the shelves. The cart has two U-shaped handles and four 5-inch/127 mm swivel casters for mobility. The casters come with donut bumpers, and both are made of rubber to help protect walls and furniture from damage.
