Easy fix for 19 year old Wayne Dalton garage door
One day I noticed that one of our garage doors was no longer closing flat against the concrete floor, and after inspecting things I found one of the two cable frayed a bit where it attached to the wind-up drum. Purchased these cables and carefully marked a point on both that would allow a little more wrap on the drums with the door closed, and after about an hour or so I had both cables replaced and the door working as new again. These cables are made of some tough steel as you would expect (they're a challenge to cut without the proper tools), they're priced well, and I'll use them again if any of our other doors develop a problem.

Awesome product for fixing my failed 7' garage door cable - with some tips...
I ordered this pair of cables to replace a similar cable on my 7' tall single residential garage door. My door originally had 2 of these cables on either side of the door - one of which snapped last weekend and almost took my eye out in the process. I measured the door and found this replacement pair on Amazon and ordered due to 1. Price 2. speed of delivery 3. other amazon reviews which stated that hardware stores usually carry a smaller diameter cable than this.Installation: I performed the replacement myself in about 20 minutes but I'd say having a helper isn't a bad idea. The instructions (included in the box) say this but let me reiterate: make sure you unplug your garage door first! Also may be helpful for some of you to know that you'll need 2 C-Clamps in order to do the installation. If you don't have them either buy or borrow so they'll be ready when this arrives. The C-Clamps are used to "block" the door in the fully upright position for performing the install of the new cable. They keep the door from slamming closed while you're working on it. You might also put a flat screwdriver in your pocket to help you fit the "loop" end over the peg at the bottom of your door. You might be able to fiddle with it enought to get it over the head of the peg but a flat screwdriver would really help. Also, maybe obvious but get yourself a step stool so you're not trying to do this from the ground - unless you're a basketball player...All in all - great product, easy install, fast shipping, thank you amazon!

Tourqemaster door perfect replacement
I ordered this item to replace a broken cable on my 8' garage door. I ordered the longer 12' cables to avoid ending up with cables that were too short. The cables arrived well packaged and tangle and kink free. The open end of the cable was not frayed or kinked and was very easy to install in my Wayne Dalton Tourquemaster door. The loop end fit the bottom of my garage door without issue and my garage door was back up and running in less than an hour. I hope to never have to replace my garage door cables again, but if I do, I will return to this brand.

Cables are as advertised and ready to install
Very happy with this. I have an older wood frame 7 foot garage door. One of the cables broke and the other was well on the way. I checked Lowes and they only had cables too long or too short. Amazon had the correct size. I got them today and installed them. They are thicker than the original cables and installation was straightforward. Since I got the 1/8 inch version, it's hard to believe my original cables lasted over 30 years. he price was good and they even delivered on Sunday. No complaints about these cables, thanks!

Excellent cables with all the pieces
Had a spring break and punch a hole in the wall. Put on new springs but wanted added safety so bought these to thread thru the springs in case they break again they will just stay on cable and not be a threat. Packed neatly with everything I needed. Installed in less than 10 min.

Perfect 3/32" diameter safety cable for garage doors using internal torsion springs
These cables arrived in pretty much the same blister package that the incorrectly-sized 1/8" cables I originally bought at the big box store came in. They were the right size and fit perfectly into the grooves on the cable drums of the garage door. There is a loop on one end for the Milford pin, and the other end is straight (with nothing on it), and there was plenty of extra length so they would be long enough for a 7-ft door. I would buy these again if needed.

Easy to instal
this is, at least, the third time I needed to replace the Cable on my 40-yr old Garage Door Springs. Easy to install and works well. Could have found at local Lowes but with COVID I am limiting the # of places I go.

Great product & super prompt vendor.
I discovered my garage door cables were frayed when I accidentally scratched my arm touching them. When I inspected closely I found many strands on both cables had failed requiring prompt replacement. I had never replaced one before but found many excellent on-line guides detailing installation and especially safety. Powerful springs, door openers and heavy doors could be a severe hazard if correct safety procedures are not followed. The vendor was super prompt and I received my order in two days. They were exactly as described and superior in construction to those replaced. I am confident they will give years of dependable service.

Okay
3 stars only because package looked open and retaped closed and the cables were a little dirty. Typically i wouldnt care but it didnt state anywhere that it was second hand or returned so rated it as tho it should have been brand new.Cables were solid and apparent damage. Worked for my manual 7ft tall garage door.

3/32 for Torquemaster garage door springs
The Torquemaster type springs requires 3/32" cable not the 1/8" ones that are more common. Had to cut these down as I have 7' high doors. Works great.
