BMC High Performance Air Filter for 18-22 Yamaha MT-07

I use BMC Filters alot mainly on car first time buying for bike but as always great fitment and performance.

Before rolling my 2016 FZ-07 out for the 2020 riding season, I did some maintenance and modifications to the bike. One maintenance task was replacing the stock air filter.Initially, I went with a more commonly known brand here in the USA- K&N. However, while that filter did fit the bike's airbox, I couldn't secure the airbox lid down. I sent the filter back and bought this.This filter's flange seems thicker than the stock filter's, but it fit the airbox and I was able to easily reinstall the airbox lid. Much to my surprise the stock air filter was pretty clean but I went ahead and dropped this filter in anyway.I've taken the bike out a couple of times since doing all the work I'd planned but since the last time I'd ridden was November of 2019, I honestly can't absolutely declare if this filter made any difference in performance for my bike.It seems the bike is breathing better, in that throttle response seems a tiny bit improved. However, I did also replace the engine's spark plugs and that may be contributing to the improvement as well. Honestly though, I wasn't looking for an upgrade. My bike has more than enough power for what I do, so I simply wanted an air filter that will be reusable....and fits properly. This fulfills both needs so I'm happy with it.

Fits great In my 2021 MT-07. If you really want to utilize the full opening of the air filter, the secured top needs to be dremeled to match the air filter opening. Easy task. Better flow than stock filter
