Great product. Vibrant colors and so easy to apply,grand daughter loved them and had great fun as she wanted her legs covered as well. Once bed time came I was amazed at how easy it was to remove the artwork on her skin. Just water in shower took it all off fast and then soap to finish. Can highly recommend these face paints

My kids received a Klutz book/ face-paint kit a few years ago, and I have become the designated face-painter, not only for my kids and their friends, but for myself and a couple other adults around Halloween as well. So I was in the market for a new palate of paint, something non-toxic, water-based, that provided good coverage. I bought this set based purely on the reviews - for the price, it seems like a wonderful value. In short, I was not happy with the set I received. These paints did not work as I expected; the paint didn't blend well with the water at all (the water mostly beaded on top of the paint and wouldn't blend!) and coverage of color was weak and watery. It was like trying to make face paint out of wax. I couldn't imagine how it had such good reviews! Of course, by that point I had used the set and tossed the receipt, and I didn't really feel like it was worth the time and effort to deal with contacting the company. So when Blue Squid emailed me for an Amazon review, I took the easy opportunity to reply to their email and told them I was disappointed in the paint. Julie at Blue Squid wrote back immediately - it was a personal note (not an auto-generated reply) expressing her concern that I was anything less than delighted with this product. She immediately offered me a full refund, no questions asked, or a replacement set. Since I couldn't get over all the great reviews this product had, I opted to try another set. My new set arrived on Friday, and I immediately opened it up to test it. This time, a drop of water and a light brush stroke activated the paint. It mixed beautifully - and the coverage was fantastic. More water = a lighter coverage, less water = thicker coverage. The colors are smooth and vibrant, the included brushes make it easy to do fine-line detail work, or broad fill-in coloring. The paints are lightweight and they dry quickly, which is great for adding more color for deeper coverage, or doing detail work on top of a base color. And finally, being water-based - they washed off easily. For the money, this is a wonderful face-paint set with a great variety of colors. And Blue Squid is clearly a company that cares about its customers having only good experiences with their product. I definitely recommend.

Let me just say I am a huge fan of these paints. I'm just starting to do face painting professionally and got these as my starter paints, the price was good and the reviews were positive. I was expecting for the price something that wasn't of high quality. Here are the reasons I love these. Pros: 1)The fact that they are vagen didn't really float my boat, but I have clients that were very impressed. 2) easy, easy clean up I'm a professional makeup artist and have used other paints before and nothing has cleaned up as well as these do. Even the red comes off easily. 3) They are truly good for sensitive skin. My daughter that has extremely sensitive skin did not have an issue with these. Well nothing is 100% different people react differently to things. 4)They are not heavy on the skin nor do they dry out the skin. I work with autistic children and other face paints have been an issue these have not. 5) they are extremely user friendly, they blend well, the pigment is good, it's easy to fix mistakes. 6)Blue squid treats their customers well, there customer service is the best I have ever dealt with and they always have coupons, discounts and special deals going on. Cons: 1) The stencils that come with the kit are crap. 2) The brushes that come in the kit are good to practice with, invest in the Blue Squid brushes they are amazing. 3) I wish they had more color options. 4)There is a little bit of a learning curve with how much water to use. If you are use to water colors you should be okay just remember less is more with these.

I bought these face paints to use for my Halloween costume this year. (I went as The Cheshire Cat from Tim Burton's version of Alice in wonderland.) These paints are great quality and apply really nicely. I would recommend using different brushes than the ones that are included however, especially if your looking to paint an entire face. I did have some issues particularly with the black paint and the white paint. They didn't seem to cover quite as well as some of the other colors, and I had to layer them so they weren't so patchy. Other than that, the other colors were super creamy and were very easy to apply. They didn't budge for the 4 hours I had them on. The 4 stars is simply for the issues I had with two of the colors, but I really like these paints and I would totally recommend them if you're looking for a good quality face paint set that won't break the bank.

We decided to be Pop Art Zombies for Halloween this year and wanted a smooth face paint. These worked great and were easy to use for first time users. Came off very easily as well. Only issue was some of the colors shown in the product photos were not the same in real life. For example, no neon green that we needed. We had to blend our own. The pallet was a dark green. But we were happy with the coverage and vibrancy!

This was better than expected! Highly pigmented and they even added some gifts!

This is decent face paint. Goes on almost like a dry roll on. It does spread out but then it will lighten the color. I applied half my face and had to go over several times. Looks like a lipstick tube. It almost broke off while applying, so you have to keep the product down low in the tube. I ended up having to get another one. I think this would be great for a child's face and if you don't want a bright yellow.

I am an amateur face painter. After watching a few pro's at some gatherings, I thought, I could do that. So, I got a kit with brushes, paints, and sponges in a nice and tidy container. I have been painting faces for about 6 years, primarily my daughter and her friends, just for fun. It was finally time to re-up on the paints, as my old paint pots were done, and what was left was too dry. Now that I know a bit more about face paint than I did when I started, I decided on some stipulations. I was specifically looking for something vegan, non-toxic, paraben and lead free, okay for sensitive skin/hypoallergenic with bright colors. Blue Squid is all of that. The paint is not tacky/sticky, it sits on the skin well, and it's light. It washes off easily. The colors are vibrant and look great on all skin hues. I have what I need without having to make a bunch of mixes. I don't have to make purple, pink, orange, green, brown, a lighter blue, those colors are included. Although it comes in a case, each color can be removed and they come with individual tops, which is nice to organize the colors to your liking, hold in your hand, or share if you're working with someone else. You have what you need to get started, although I would suggest getting a couple of sponge applicators. I am satisfied with my purchase, and recommend Blue Squid face paints without hesitation.

Good value for money. Pros: - great selection of colours - each colour comes with lid and in individual removable pots (nice unexpected feature) - comes with 3 paintbrushes, booklet on some examples and some stencils. - really easy to remove. Harder around eyebrows but my 3 year old can remove it by themselves no problem. - cheaper than so e of the more well known brands but quality is the same if not better. Great lockdown activity. Highly recommend.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von der Farbe! Sie lässt sich unfassbar gut verarbeiten und handhaben und haben eine unglauch starke Pigmentierung...Ist nicht nur wunderschön sondern auch sehr ergiebig!!Hier kann wirkliche Kunst entstehen :) Mein Kind hat keine umempfindliche Haut doch diese haben keinerlei Reizungen und Rückstände hinterlassen. Selbst nicht nachdem sie die Farbe 24h drauf hatte ;) lies sich alles ohne jucken oder Auffälligkeiten ohne Probleme abwaschen. Fühlt sich sehr safe an und ich bin happy und dankbar für so tolle Produkte :)

I love this face paint pallette! I have been doing face paint for big events for quite few years now, this is the first tìme purchasing this brand, bc the one I am used to get, is simply getting too pricey. Well, I was nervous to swap brands but, best desition ever! This ones are way better than the pricey ones! Great quality, bright colors on one stroke, stays on very nicely which is ironic bc is very easy to remove...Seriously, I give it 10/10... will be buying this brand from now on

Ich kann die Gesichtsfarbe nur weiterempfehlen! Wir haben sie zu Halloween benutzt. Mein Sohn und ich selber auch. Sie lässt sich super auftragen mit den beiliegenden Pinseln. Die Schablonen sind soweit ok, allerdings etwas unhandlich beim auftragen aber das ist eher ein kleines Manko. Ich hätte mir lediglich ein paar mehr Schminkideen im kleinen Heft gewünscht, welches dabei liegt. Auch das abwaschen hinterher ging ohne Probleme mit Wasser und Seife und es gab keinerlei Hautreaktionen, obwohl wir ziemlich empfindliche Gesichtshaut haben. Daumen hoch, ich würde das Produkt wieder kaufen.
