I bought an ouchless almost 14 years ago and I absolutely loved it. But it broke and I decided to replace it with this one. Definitely not the same quality as the older one. The bristles are very sharp and uncomfortable. It really made me miss my old one, but it gets the job done of brushing your hair

Excellent brush

I have used the Goody detangling brush for years. After losing my brush on a recent trip, I needed to buy another. I ordered two from the same seller, they arrived separately several days apart for whatever reason. These are twice as big as what I had before, I didn't think to look at size measurements before ordering. I like the brush, it just isn't as convenient for travel as a smaller one. I like that this brush doesn't pull or tangle my hair. The bristles are wide apart and so its also easy to remove any hair from the brush. I would love this in a round brush for better styling.

Our other detanglers actually do hurt, especially if the knots are stubborn and/or close to the scalp. This one is actually so gentle it doesn't hurt in the last, and there are days we really need that. In the winter when scarves/tuques/etc cause big tangles this gets lots of use. That said, there's a trade-off. The bristles are far more flexible than most brushes so it's not stiff enough to pull through all types of tangles. For a big job, I'll start with this brush to get out what I can very quickly (no need to be gentle because the brush already is), and then I finish up with a Wet Brush or one of our salon brand brushes. Overall the job is far faster and easier with this brush. It's also ideal for my youngest as she learns to brush her own hair. I wish I had it years earlier for my eldest daughter because she's highly sensitive to any sensory stimulation and brushing her thick wavy hair used to be a nightmare.

I have used this brush for years and been very happy, in my view far superior to any other brush that detangles hair. I did not use it just for detangling as I found it excellent for regular brushing and smoothing my hair - just helps with any knots - great for children too. My old one got worn out and I had to replace it. Glad I found it was still on the market and am very happy with the new one.
