Yes, Splitvolt chargers are equipped with the J1772 interface which is the standard for EVs sold in North America. Vehicles that do not have the J1772 (like Tesla) typically come with an adapter.

Hi, yes, the 40amp charger fully and automatically supports the 40amp charging rate on a standard 50amp circuit. This equates to 37mph charging if your circuit is running at 240 volts. The rate would only be below this level if the voltage were substantially lower (it will still operate all the way down to 220v) or more commonly if the vehicle or vehicle settings restrict the rate.
