This dog is so cute and tiny! What I like best: it doesn't make that much noise - the barking is more like yipping and even then it isn't annoying. It does have an almost constant mechanical sound because of the legs or mouth having to move, but it's not that loud or anything. I love that it has that turn lock on the battery compartment so I don't need a tool to open it but my son can't really open it himself (yet). It's super soft, and it does walk and make noises. What I'm not sooo crazy about: I wish it alternated how much time it spent between walking and stopping to "bark" because my son can barely take one to two steps "following him" without stopping for the barking - eventually this is boring. Really though, overall this is a great toy. My son is 3 and he hasn't tried to do anything violent with the tail or dog in general where it would possibly break - but he is 3. He will stop the dog to pet it when it's trying to walk. He will try and open or close the mouth when it's not on and it has to be forced... But I mean, that's what kids do. I told him to not do it because he could break the toy and he stopped. The toy is still working... So I guess it can hold up to young kids. If you can't have an actual pet for your kid (or even if you do) this is so cute.I was fortunate to receive this at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased testing and review. My opinion is based solely on my personal experience with this dog toy and not influenced by any outside sources.

This is a cute little mechanical toy. It WORKS WELL - and came with batteries. The only issue is that is sounds more like a BIRD CHIRPING than a DOG BARKING. But for the price it was worth it.

Have to admit, I bought this for me but will probably lose it when the next little kid comes to visit. Don't know why it caught my fancy so strongly. It is so cute. It was out of stock for about a year but I kept the faith and am glad I did. It has a little squeaky bark and chugs along the floor in an endearing way. It has a sweet face. Did I say it? I meant Little Mookie Girl.

Came without a screw for the battery pack. Like are you serious???? Every time my 3 yr old drops him the whole battery pack drops out and he stops working. Wth???? Do I have to go through the whole returns process over a screw???? That's a lot of work on my part to fix their error!!!

Love this toy. Bought it for my 5 year old and 3 year old. They couldn't get enough of it. Kept them occupied for a long time on Sunday and they insisted on bringing him to pizza shop with us as our pretend dog. Good thing cuz I aint buying them a real one!! (Allergies and too big a mess) It barks like a real dog and walks around... Im always trying new things.. Im a BCBA/ABA therapist and I brought it to work the next day as reinforcement for my 5.5 year old client. Worked like a charm. Even came with batteries.

The little dog had a hole in its neck looks like they tried to fix it with a lot of glue. I tried to contact the seller but I never got an answer, it works ok and my granddaughter loves it. But a little customer service would be nice!

This is such an adorable dog that walks, barks, wags his tail. Perfect gift for a child or even an adult who wants to bring out the child in them. It's just so great! Highly recommend.

I was searching for this toy for years. My grandpa gave this as a gift for my daughter but we lost it in an out of state move. Very sentimental find for me. Adorable toy that drives my chihuahua crazy.
