Very nicely made and easy to master
Light and so well built it looks like an advanced throwing axe. Great to learn on and sticks every time

It's all in the Axe
Just joined my 2nd axe throwing league. I did horrible the first league because I was using the leagues axes. A few people had their own and I tried them and they were so much better. So I did some research and found the best one for me. A good axe makes all the difference. I went from bottom (standings) to now 11 out of 30 people this season. Love this axe.

The most balanced axe I have ever thrown. Sharp, protected edge in packaging, excellent hone.
The hickory handle, true balanced head, and uncut length provides the best in throwing axe accuracy.Perfect handle shape that allows for consistent, un-restricted release to the target.

SIX WATL AXES= SIX DISAPPOINTMENTS...
I ordered (4) FOUR, Watl throwing hatchets. Every one was a disappointment. 0/4 Two had to be returned they were in such absurd shape- grossly misaligned head/handle on my Butcher Axe, Ace of Spades arrived with a cracked handle.I reordered the two I returned. That means I processed through SIX (6) WATL axes. All premium $100+ models. EVERY ONE was a disappointment. My Corporal had a grind error, and was dull. All SIX hatchets I bought were essentially dull. Now for me personally that's not a big deal because I don't really like my throwing hatchets honed to a razors edge, but for a company bragging upon bragging about how sharp these things are- well.... I guess they wanted you to pay attention to something other than that your getting 1055 steel and a nylon sheath- not really something I often see priced in the $100Considering what they're charging for this common cheap steal and nylon and a rumor of Hickory but who the hell knows, I expected fit and finish to be phenomenal. All were dull, none were Perfectly aligned- at this price I expect precision- CS can deliver it for $25. My chests full of premium axes deliver. These things were a mess....misaligned, cheeks were a little warped here and there, on and on- I contacted the people at WATL....The people at WATL said I should take it up with Amazon. I told them I planned to but that I thought they might want to hear my experience with (6) SIX! of their axes. Nobody seemed too concerned until I mentioned I was going to take the time to do something I don't usually do--write a review. I kept a few of the axes, they're just so damn handsome I couldn't refuse em all. Gonna go throw the hell out of em and enjoy them as theyr're meant to be enjoyed. Hopefully the price I paid will mean there's something left of em for my kid to throw one day. But final word for me with these guys: BUYER BEWARE. There's too many other forges and companies working hard for your money and not taking their customers for granted. If you're in WATL competitions and being forced to buy these in order to compete- I feel bad for you- boycott time or something gentlemen.

Not Sharp at all
Ordered and got fast delivery on WATL Commander axe. It was dull without thin profile as in pictures or advertised. Also did not have sheath as other WATL axes I have purchased in the past included. When you are going to charge a premium price then you need to deliver a premium axe. WATL is already making a ton on each of these axes. All other axes are 30 to 50 dollars and at 75 plus tax and shipping very disappointed. WATL will not let you use other axes and then promote and ship poor quality products. You should be able to use any axe made by anyone as long as they are within the WATL rules. I will fix the axe and see how it throws, but in the future will buy what I want. WATL will eventually make to many rules and throwers will just stop using their axes.

Not “razor sharp” as advertised.
I was very disappointed that the axe was not “razor sharp” as described. The blade was dull and I had to call all over town to find a place to have it sharpened. I contacted the seller, but they didn’t bother to reply.

Quality does not equal the price
I sent the 1st one I got back because the back of the axe head was crooked. I just received the replacement and now it's dull. Also the handle is NOT STAINED, incase any of you were wondering. Advertising pictures are a joke. I expected better quality for the price.

Great quality axe for axe throwing
Item just as described. I wasn’t sure if it came with a case and it does. Heavy duty, good quality.
