Time showed that looks are decieving. Torch became loose and felt unsafe just before it quit igniting completely...hard to recommend possibly unsafe product.Extremely kewl looking, flexible and well constructed torch. I am very satisfied with this low cost high quality product.The only issue I encountered is after using it a few times, it did not ignite on the first or second tries anymore. I thought i received a defective torch or that these were just more cheep junk being sold on Amazon.My goto trick when this or any personal handheld torch does not ignite is to partially cover some or all of the vents ( holes or slots built in the flame/chamber area ). I do this by touching the end if the tourch against something solid and non combustible or wrap flame area vents partially with aluminum foil. Don't cover completely, you need some air flow in the mixing flame chamber.I can only say what works for me. My experience will differ from all others. But I hope your experience is productive and enjoyable. Keep hands and other body parts away from the hot end of any torch.Don't forget to always burp any torch before refilling. (Release air from chamber).If this is not done the new gas has nowhere to go because the chamber is full of non combustible air. It's vapor locked. To vent hold torch upside down and use a toothpick or pencil tip to depress fill valve nipple. Press a few times to release trapped air.Be excellent towards each other and treat others how you like to be treated or better.Party on earthlings!!

I did *NOT* read the reviews when I bought this and was annoyed to find that it does not come with any butane. I have since read most of the reviews and lots of you had some bad experiences with this torch, but they all seem to be related to filling it with butane. I (weirdly) had to do a deep-dive on the internet about filling butane lighters, and it turns out I've been doing it wrong. I went to the hardware store and paid way more than this lighter for some butane fluid. Then I followed all the instructions about turning the butane filler upside-down, and getting the ports all lined up just right and the temperature right, and it was oddly technical to make it all happen. I looked through the little transparent window and was able to see liquid filling the lighter. That's really the key, if you can see the liquid in the window then you've done it right. But now I have a hot torch that I carry around in my car to un-freeze frozen locks in the great North where I live. Except butane lighters suck in the cold, they won't light at all under probably 15F. You have to hold it near to your skin, under your coat, for 15min or so, to warm it up... but maybe that's TMI.

Breaks easy

I was running around the city looking for a barbeque lighter without remembering what it's called, so half the time no one understood me and no one had it in stock anyway.I needed it to light my candles. Mine got lost.So I took my search online, and in my online search for a barbeque lighter, I saw this little guy.I didn't hesitate to buy this.This thing is phenomenal, and I wish I had known about its existence much sooner.I hate using gas and fuels, I'm a huge fan of electric especially when it's clean green power.This is strong, it definitely lights a candle easily.In order to use it, you have to move the switch / turn the safety off, then hit the light button.It's rechargeable, and comes with a USB charging cable.This is great to have around the house.It would also make a great camping tool.My boyfriend is just as impressed with it, and is going to buy one.Don't hesitate to get one of these!

Do not recommend, any wind causes the flame to turn off or if you bend the neck in a downward way to idk light a candle or prepare a BBQ it turns off immediately! Don’t waste your time get something better
