Great product. But read this review before you buy.
Beginners.(DIY)Pls see below list of items one should know before starting a project. If you dont know how to use Digital Multimeter this is not for you. Don't buy this.If you have not removed the car panel for any wiring. This is not for you.If you don't know how to find 12volt, Ignition wire, Accessory wire and Ground. This is not for you.If you don't know how to tie a wire together with butt connector. This is not for you.If you don't know how to find Tach wire, Fuel injector wire, Door pin wire(usually when you open the door this wire goes to zero volt), brake wire (goes to 12volt on pressing brake pedal) this is not for you.if you dont know how to route the wire and hide inside car, this is not for you.if you car has factory OEM anti theft alarm then if you plan to use this module for remote starter it wont work. alarm goes off, there are ways to resolve it and if you are interested see at the bottom of the review. You have to cut the key and put the key in ignition cylinder and just turn to first click so your steering wheel doesn't lock when u use push to start button. You should leave the key inserted into ignition cylinder all the time permanently. so keep this in mind. Again just turn in until your steering wheel doesn't lock. so if you dont have spare key and don't know how to get it cheap , this is not for you. When you insert the cut key in IGNITION cylinder, few lights in dashboard might come based on car year make and model, in HONDA pilot (i got letter P indicating the car is in parking gear) if you think that is annoying that cut the ignition wire that goes into igntion cylinder and connect the other end of the igntion wire that goes out of the ignition to EC002.If you are not comfortable cutting the key to the length enough to turn to the position where steering wheel doesn't lock. Then this is not for you.if your car original factory key has chip (most likely YES, any car that is manufactured after 1999).. then you should know how to take the chip out of the original car key and glue it to ignition barrel. If you don't know what i am talking. this is not for you. Not a big task. if you car start and stop immediately within one or 2 second after installation and the security light is blinking that means you have not kept the chip in right place or hidden the key in right place. Again i am talking with respect to beginners, for advanced professional there are other way to bypass TO USE evo all (NOT EVO one) which i am covering later.Tools you need: Voltmeter, Butt connector, Optional Soldering Iron, original or after market Manual to find 12volt constant, Ground, Ignition wire(shows 12volt on second click), Accessory wire (Shows 12volt on 1st click), Starter wire(goes to about 10 volt just for few seconds when you crank) . Best way to find the wires and location is go to Fortin.ca enter your year, make and model , and choose evo one, installation manual gives the location of wires. you can also choose wirecolor.com to get picture of wires and colors. They will show connectors and wire for ignition, starter wire, accessory wire, tach wire, brake wire, door pin etc.If you want someone who needs help during US TIME and cant wait for day or two. This is not for you.Little bit about myself, I am an advanced DIYers have done many projects on lot of customization. Now lets get into installation.Install 2 PKE antenna (short frequency) on middle of windshield both front and back. Make sure there is no metal object that is why i am recommending windshield. Again in middle not in corner.Hide the wire on the headliner and use window liner or trim or A pillar or B or C pillar to route and hide.Install the antenna for your remote(long frequency) on the left side of windshield.Connect Main HarnessRed - 12volt constantWhite - Ignition 1Brown - Ignition 2. your car might not have this so you can ignore. again fortin.ca site i mentioned before will tell you whether your car has it or not.. for free.Orange - Accessory wire.Yellow- Starter wire. if you car has 2 starter wire, you can use relay and make another one from yellow itself.Secondary harnessBlue- Fuel injector wire, or tach wire should be connected. if you dont connect well then your car will crank again and again. This is needed only if u use remote starter otherwise it is not needed. i am using remote starter and have not connected this, but it works fine. just keep an eye.Orange - +ive 12volt. When u press the brake this wire should receive 12volt positive.if you dont want remote starter then u dont have to connect fuel injector / tach wirewhite - negative lock wire. Connect this to negative lock wire in your car. Again wirecolor.com will give all the location etc. your car should send negative 12 volt when you lock the car. if your car sends positive then u need relay to convert to negative. if you car have OEM alarm then you should use same white/black wire to tie to both lock and arm wire. or somecar have one wire which would both lock and arm ..white /black- negative unlock wire. Make sure to tie both unlock and disarm wire (OEM alarm only).if you car is controlled by negative pulse, connect yellow and yellow/black wire to ground if your car has OEM alarm and if you dont tie disarm wire along with unlock wire, your alarm will goes off.Brown - connect this to +ive parking lights. use relay to change polarity.if you dont want alarm then dont connect next wire which is negative door lock wire.Blue/black - connect this to negative door pin switch, which turns to zero volt from what ever it is while opening the door. if you dont connect this then PKE wont work.if you dont connect white or white/black wire your PKE wont work.if you dont connect blue wire properly your remote starter may or may not work. For me it worked fine.if you have external remote starter and not willing to use EC002 THEN set the dip switch number 5 to up position.Drill a hole about 1.5 inch to install push to start button. or use key cylinder hole(where you kept the spare key ) to install the push button on top of the hole.I drilled a hole and installed the push button and plugged the cylinder hole with the using plastic plug..There are variety of push button style available from P1 tp P5 with different drill size as you like. The quality of push button is not that great. If you are professional and doesn't want to glue the chip in barrel, then buy the bypass module like fortin evo all or idata link or dball2 and send ground (GWR) to invoke bypass module. When you get into the car, ec002 will send +12vol on ignition wire, use that to trigger ground with help of relay.I personally glued it. because if you don't have ec002 fob , your car wont start, so i glued the chip to barrell.Dont press lock key in your easy guard remote, it will turn off PKE feature, to turn on press unlock key.If you are within PKE range, when you try to lock it car will lock the door at the same time it will disable PKE.This mean after starting the car, if you get out , car will not lock. So never try to lock using easyguard key, i permanently disabled it in the remote. on worst if u want to lock, use factory OEM.ec002 has better range then ec003. ec003 has only one option to choose on push button style AND HAS ONLY 3 remote choices.ec002 has multiple option to choose push button style, ec002 has different chip and have lot of options on remotes. i have both product and ec002 is much better quality and pke works awesomeAlso make sure you know how to change battery of the remote. Also if you use factory remote to unlock your car for any reason outside your pke range then car wont lock by itself unless you go back closer to your car. So dont use factory or afternarket remote to unlock. Also if you unlock your car using easyguard remote then it disable pke feature unless you lock to enable it.when u press lock button for 5 seconds, it disable the alarm, (ie when car gets locked) it wont honk. (2 honk will confirm this)to enable press lock button for 5 seconds, it will enable (one honk will confirm this feature).when u press lock button twice in a gap of 5 seconds between each press, car will honk for 5 times this to find the car on panic mode.to open trunk you have to press trunk button twice in matter of sec between each press.to do an emergency start, get into the car, press brake, press programming button on ec003 for 5 seconds then press push button to start the car.if push button is not working because of any reason, get into car, press brake pedal, press start button on your remote not PUSH button for 3 seconds to start. Also if you want to remote start the car, you can remote start within PKE range, or out of PKE range, but when you approach the car , car will unlock, but if you dont get into the car and get back out of pKE range it wont lock back again. You can remote start the car when push button is not working using remote, but to switch off the car you have to press unlock and start button again to shutdown the car.For Manual transmission.Set dip switch 5 to up, then connect main connector, start the car, put the car in park / neutral then go away out of PKE range, then switch of the car in Remote by pressing start button.Note you should first use remote to SWITCH OFF the car using remote to enable remote start. only after enabling you can remote start the car. This means when you try to remote start first before enabling it wont start. Also get to know how to change battery, to know if you are in PKE range, look at LED in remote it will blink in PKE range, when you start the car led will not blink, if you dont start the car but you are in PKE range, it will keep communicating and drain your remote. keep this in mind.EVO ALL to EC002 connection. This is for advanced users to bypass immobilizer without adding chip to ignition cylinder.Connect EVO ALL Dark Blue (A8) on 20 Pin connection to White wire on 3 pin (GWR) ec002 connection.EC002 IS OUTPUTING GROUND TO DARK BLUE WIRE ON A8 ON EVO ALL.connect yellow wire on 3pin(GWR) to constant ground.Connect EVO ALL A1 YELLOW ON 20 PIN CONNECTION to EC002 6P white WIRE(IGNITION WIRE).EC002 IS OUTPUTING 12VOLT IGNITION WIRE TO A1 on EVO ALL, so evo all can be activeEasyguard 20P, Orange (Brake Pedal Status +In)=== Fortin 20P A, Black A11 (Foot Brake +Out)CONNECT CAN LOW (C4), CAN HIGH(C3), IMMO WIRE (A10), A20(DOOR LOCK DATA) FOR YOUR YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL AS PER FORTIN EVO ALLif you are using EVO ALL ONLY FOR BYPASS YOU CAN DISCARD THE REST.LOCK, UNLOCK, DOOR STATUSENSURE YOU SET THIS TO OFF WHILE FLASHINGD1 "Standalone Remote Starter" and G "Evo Alarm System" set to OFF.=======When you remote start if your starter is anti-grinding. please follow below instructions.Cut the starter wire going to ignition barrel.. Connect the wire that goes BACK to starter on PIN 30. CONNECT THE WIRE that comes as an output from EC002 YELLOW on PIN 87A. This means 30 and 87A is normally closed, meaning when your EC002 is starting then 87Aa and 30 have to be connected, when the car got started, you want 30 and 87A to disconnect, to do so , connect 86 to IGN WIRE Which is White and 85 TO GWR(ground while running) white wire on 3 pin connection . By doing so, CAR will not grind once u remote started,, or car wont crank again because you disconnected any feed going to starter (87a and 30 wont be connected). Also to use immobilizer bypass, follow this. Buy EVO all from Fortin. There is a data link connector black color which has 4 wires, connect red to 12volt constant NOT TO ignition wire and connect black wire to ground. Then program immobilizer evo all as given in the instruction. Make sure 12volt yellow wire (A1) AND A8 (dark blue) connected to ground. This is minimum needed but for your car there may be additional wire like can high , low data, immo etc. you can discard all dotted line in evo all installation manual. make sure you connect all dark black line. can high and low is not needed this is only for controlling door lock etc. Then there is 20 pin connector (A8) GROUD WHILE RUNNNING. Connect this to either permanent ground or GWR wire mentioned above from EC002.if you want to remote start and if your car has OEM alarm then do bellow things.1) take GWR wire and use PAC TR-7 TO SEND PULSED GROUND TO YOUR CAR DISARM WIRE TO DISABLE OEM ALARM.ORUNLOCK THE CAR USING REMOTE, REMOTE START THE CAR THEN LOCK THE CAR

Casi perfecto
Genial en todo, lo único malo es que el botón aveces no funciona en un solo intento, toca darle dos veces o bastante fuerte.

Awesome
Install was pretty simple, nothing out of the usual. Lock and Unlock work great from almost any distance, Had some issue with remote start but that was due to poor mounting location of the antenna. The seller was extremly helpful in aiding me with a few questions and replaces my start button I broke (button is not cheap quality.. i just went heavy on the super glue)DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD WITH CAR ELECTRONICS.Some of the English is a bit shotty but still readable, if you put this in your car wrong you could damage your vehicle, but that is with any remote start.Only thing that sucks is the key on the key phob can only be cut to fit VW or Audi's .. so I will not be able to have my toyota key cut to it.So I just cut it off and welded mine on.

Exactly what i wantedB
Bought this after messing around with the es002. By far this was simpler to install because the instructions are more detailed on this than the es002. the range on the pke could be better but i think its due to the location of mine(under b pillar trim in side car for drivers side. PAssenger/rear not installed yet.) the remote start antenna is under the a pillar trim and works up to and beyond a block and a half as long as the car is in sight. i still need to connect the door trigger and trunk wires but everything works fine without them. the included pbs button leaves alot to be desired. i opted to get the next step up from the included button for now. eventually i will be getting a different button.
