Is the inset actual wood?

I don't think so. I recently threw the watch away, because it stopped working. It was defective and I didn't want to bother with it anymore.

In the picture, 4 is represented on the dial face as "iiii," which is incorrect: it should be "iv." does the watch really ship with "iiii" on it?

I have attached a video , you can see it. Watches and clocks do not traditionally use the Roman Numeral IV both because of the possible confusion for VI and for symmetry. Hope this helps.

How long is the chain? It seems a little short in the illustrations.

From tip to tip (including the parts that hook onto the watch and the part that hooks onto your pocket, vest, pants, etc., the chain is 14 and 3/4 inches long.

Dose this come with a necklace chain?
