Got this for working outside in the winters. Fits nice. I have a small head for a man and the small fits snug. I possibly could have gotten away with the next size up but now I've had my haircut it fits even better. I do look a bit of an idiot wearing it but it keeps me warm so I don't care. My wife isn't impressed but again I don't care.

I love this hat more than you could ever know!! The recent very, very wet weather (weekend of 10th November 2019) was the perfect test and it did not fail in 6 hours of torrential, non-stop, never out of it, big fat rain!! I have to admit I was unsure but this stood the test of the day far better than some of the others that were wearing well known branded hats. Not uncomfortable to wear all day, fits nice, sides did not flap in the wind even though I did not button them up, very warm and in my humble opinion worth every penny!!

The all round protection of the ears and head is a big factor in comfort. I walk every day in all kinds of weather. This hat provides some shade from the sun, protects my head and ears from the wind and is waterproof so I don’t always have to put my hood up. It’s so warm too, I’m reluctant to take it off once I get back inside so it comes off last. Love it!

My head measures 60 cm and this cap (the 'large' size) fits perfectly. It's warm and comfortable, especially over my ears.I wear spectacles and wanted a cap or hat with a brim to keep rain off them. This cap, though the brim isn't hard (it's the same material as the rest of the cap, and not stiffened), does the job very well. It's also been worn in heavy rain, and the rain didn't soak through; it dries quickly on a radiator.I noticed one review which complained that the fabric coating is described as "faux leather" whereas it's waxed cotton/polyester. This is correct, but doesn't matter to me at all.It also looks stylish - as much as ear flaps can! Very happy with this product - well done Siggi.

I wore this hat for the first time when it was sub-zero outside whilst taking my dog out just around the corner from my house. The hat was lovely and warm and comfortable. Today I walked for about two miles with the weather still chilly and dry.When I arrived home my hair was saturated and sweat was pouring from me.So I can well believe that the hat is waterproof but it causes you to sweat so much you might as well just get soaked in the rain. Twenty pound wasted as far as I am concerned.

I live on the North West coast of Scotland. Here you can get all 4 seasons in one day. Bonnet is weather proof. Not bulky, worn with comfort, dries to shape easily. Also holds my ear buds snuggle in place.

I have just received this item. I am a little unwell at present, so haven't tested the hat in the rain yet. My head circumference is 62cm, and I purchased brown faux leather XL; and it's a comfortable fit. The cap feels very warm, and I am pleased with the overall appearance. You are bound to feel a bit of a 'poser' in a hat like this though I suppose. Bottom right photo on the 4 photo collage shows the hat with adjustable chin strap fastened with stud popper fasteners. If you have an even larger head you can loosen the hat a little further using the popper fasteners on the little strap at the back of the hat. I have several warm beanies but this aviator cap should hopefully also keep the rain off my glasses, and make it easier to put on and take off face masks by lifting the ear flaps. You can also strap the ear flaps up using the chin strap lifted and fastened over the top of the hat; see single photo. Not the cheapest of hats but I prefer the design of this to any other similar hats I have seen, and it doesn't use real leather or fur. I have only given 4 stars for water resistance and weather proofing because these haven't been tested yet.Postscript: I bought a second faux leather hat in green which didn't fit as well as it was just a little less generous in the dimensions. The faux leather material also seemed inferior to me. I returned this for free via Royal Mail using a QR code provided by the seller, and having got refunded I bought a second one in brown. The lining on the second one was a little sparser and the peak seemed a little less well aligned. Another reviewer mentioned wearing the hat the other way around which I tried (see 8 picture collage). Strangely this also seemed to help shape the peak on the second hat as it became slightly rounder when around my neck with the hat in reverse. So I have kept this second hat in brown as a spare. The hat has also since been tested in the rain and is definitely water resistant, but I have not worn it in a prolonged downpour yet.

I bought this in the summer for a trip to he highlands in South America... a beanie would have covered my ears, and a cap would have shielded the sun... this one does both. I often wear it here now it is winter in the UK and I know it makes me look cool.From what I can tell it is fake wool and fake leather but it feels comfortable.An unexpected added benefit is that the padding can take the sting out of most of my DIY head bumps.
