PMP Exam Preparation: 600 Questions with Explanations

Improved, actually not so much because of references to 5th edition of PMBOK, but more because of navigation, which did not exist before.With previous version, I had to work around by having two Kindles open at the same time, one in Questions area, and the other in Answers area.That obvious obstacle was alleviated in this edition. With every question, you have a "Check Answer" link, which, in turn, has a "Back to Question" link. Answer still explain both the correct and the wrong options. And, if one cannot remember the question they just answered, well, that is a short term memory problem.So, improved and much less time consuming.Good drill.As for that "discount" sales pitch offer (in the intro of the book) for additional tests which can be downloaded from a web site, with additional charges.... Three tests are more than enough for anybody to test the mettle. No need to bother with more.

I took and passed the PMP on my first attempt. I used this book as my primary source of practice questions in preparing for the PMP exam so let me start by saying it served its purposes. With that said I have some serious issues with the book and wouldn't strongly recommend it to others. I would say about 10% of the questions in each 200 question practice exams were out of left field and were not indicative of the PMP exam. Many of those same questions and a few others had very general answers that I couldn't tie back to the PMBOK. It would have been very helpful if the answer to each questions also sited a page or section of the PMBOK you could refer to for more information.

Questions are close to the real exam. The quality of questions is good enough to be used as a supplement for PMP exam preparation. However, on real exam, there is not so many one-liner questions as seen on this book. Most of the questions are situational in nature and don't often ask for direct memorization of PMBOK as some of the questions on this book. Recommended as the book is reasonable priced with good enough questions. It had helped me pass the exam.

Bought this book as a supplement to Rita Mulcahy's PMP study guide. This book was great for testing my knowledge and seeing where I needed to study more. I found that the questions on the real exam were not structured the same. This book concentrates on asking questions like which of the following are INCORRECT etc. In addition, the book is filled with grammatical errors and it was difficult to understand what was being asked on a few questions. Otherwise the book did its job in helping me identify where I was lacking in knowledge.

You know, this book is strange. There are many grammar mistakes in the questions. Some questions (very few, less than 1%) are arguably answers that could be wrong if you think about PM processes the way PMI tells you to.However, it's hard to argue with results. After a lot of studying through Rita, it's only through studying this book that I was able to get a handle on the many tricks required to pass the exam. I scored all "Proficient" on the 5 knowledge areas, so I am vrey happy with the result, and thus recommend this book to anybody who wants a cost-effective way to train for the PMP. "Cost-effective", in the sense that for the price, you get a lot of questions that help effectively prepare for the PMP.

The 600 questions were definitely helpful, but in fact I found the actual exam questions to be a lot more tricky. Besides, compared to the first 400 questions, the quality of the final 200 questions became very inconsistent.

This is a good material when preparing for your PMP exam. However, I strongly recommend to study from other sources This book is not enough to pass the exam. It has many spelling mistakes. I'd recommend it, but again not as the only source.

Some questions have wrong answers:for example:194. Um ótimo exercício para quem está se preparando para o exame PMP. As explicações a cerca da resposta correta e porque as demais alternativas são incorretas são uma fonte adicional de conhecimento. A navegação entre as questões e suas respostas também é outro ponto positivo!

This book is poorly written. The English is not clear and there are several mistakes throughout the book. Some questions are so poorly written it's hard to understand what is even being asked (in English, not in PM terms).Some answers in the back of the book list one answer and the explanation of that answer is contradictory to the answer given. (I.e. Question 172 answer is A. Explanation of the answer says answer b is the best choice).This book is not worth your money and may confuse you. I would suggest buying another study aide.

Some English and grammar mistakes but for the price, worth it. Good way to assess what my level was and helped prepare me for PMP exam. Good with PMBOK
