Perfect Ending!
**A Million Crossfires Stars**Gideon Cross. Falling in Love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably.Well, I feel exactly the same having met him in the pages of Sylvia Day's Crossfire Series. To say it has been a long journey to get to the point in this book would be an absolute truth, but never has a fictional character stayed with me years after first encounter. This book has been highly anticipated by many as book after book continued to add to the drama, to tangle the web of the story, to complicate an already complex relationship. Months of speculation and hours of anxiously waiting only to get more and more WTH moments and more questions without answers. I too was on edge with the pressure Sylvia Day had on her to deliver. For me, I can state 100% that I got exactly what I wanted, and them some!I will start this review acknowledging that there are continued bumps in the road, perhaps even unnecessary events and more WTH moments that could drive some readers a bit crazy. We all know there were enough unanswered issues from books past, so while I did not need any more of the "filler" type angst, I easily put it aside to focus on the best part of this book...the evolution of Eva and Gideon.I am amazed and so pleased with this author's delivery and development of an epic love. Gideon and Eva met in a heated flurry and their broken souls tangled into a mess of passion and lust. They found everything they needed in one another's arms but they would need more to survive the whirlwind that was surrounding them. They had no shot at a solid future, even with their bands sealing their commitment forever. With each book, they moved closer to trusting and loving all while continuing their primal need for one another. Finally, Gideon and Eva are pushing toward healthy, in sync, and wrapped in pure adoration of one another.Through the ups and downs, there is open communication and a new life approach as an "us." Both Eva and Gideon continue to stand on their own and tackle issues confidently but now they know there is always a pair of arms waiting for support. I am beyond happy that Gideon still exuded his powerful dominant presence while taking on the domestication of marriage. There was still fire and domination, but now there were misty eyed moments of pride and consuming love as well. No other fictional male has kept his aura of power and sex appeal as Gideon Cross while transforming into a man in love. While he continued his ruthless press of power, he found his ability to be greater, more magnificent as now he had an equal beside him, holding his hand was his wife, Eva Cross!I could go on forever raving about the series as a whole. I may be biased as Gideon Cross is my #1 but that is what makes a reader unique. This book was fabulous. It was a finale of perfection. One with You was Gideon Cross at his finest and Eva Cross at her best. It is so bittersweet to say good-bye to this series, but I am grateful to have this forever, to read over and over again!!!

One With You ~ 4.5 stars
A certain trilogy introduced me to modern romance books, but another series got me truly hooked; ‘the Crossfire series’ by Sylvia Day. One With You is the fifth and final book in the series, giving us the conclusion to the story of Eva and Gideon, that started with Bared To You. I adore Gideon and Eva, and their road to happiness.“It’s not just Gideon Cross anymore. It’s not even Gideon Cross and wife. We are Gideon and Eva Cross, and you need to let me live up to that.”Eva has come a long way. From the somewhat troubled woman she changed into a strong and confident lady, sure of her relationship with her husband, able to pull him through his darkness. She doesn’t give up without a fight, but knows where to compromise and where to stand her ground. Gideon also changed a lot over the past three months. From the detached and in control man he has transformed into a passionate husband, who’s still fighting his demons, supported by his Eva. Slowly he’s learning how to deal with his past, and laying the blame with the responsible adults involved.“Nothing could touch or hurt me when he was holding me. I wanted him to feel that same sense of security with me. I needed him to know he could drop his guard, take a breath, and I could protect us both. I had to be stronger. Smarter. Scarier.”After the very passionate start of their relationship, with all its intrigues and twists, Eva and Gideon are starting to take it more slowly. After the crazy whirlwind they go out on dates, start acting like a normal courting couple. The sizzling chemistry is still there, but Eva and Gideon know they belong together, know nothing can break them apart, know they need each other like a next breath. Both still have some questions, but they talk to each other about what troubles them, seeking the opinion of the other.“Eva was too independent, too fierce. She had a jealous streak a mile wide. She was demanding and suborn, and she defied me just to drive me crazy. And that friction worked in a way it never could have with any other woman, because Eva was meant for me. I believed that as I believed in nothing else.”One With You starts were the previous book, Captivated By You, left off. Like the other books, One With You describes the lives of Gideon and Eva day by day, no lapses in time, no fast forward. Therefore, this book is set only three months after they’ve met. Although this is the story of Gideon and Eva, the tale of their road to a Happily Ever After, I felt there where a few loose ties. Some storylines are left wide open, without a clear conclusion. Maybe it would have worked better for me if the epilogue was set further in the future, but that’s not how Crossfire series is written.“Barely contained, like the vortex of a tornado. I would describe him as the calm after a storm now, which only made him an ever greater force of nature. We were both… centered now. Feeling confident and committed. Having each other made everything achievable.”Although I give the overall love story of Gideon and Eva 5+ stars, due to my issues I give One With You 4.5 stars.

Absolutely fantastic series!
Very good character study and psychological drama. Besides the outlandish yet enjoyable sex, it's fantastic in its romance and read. Have read all 5 of the series at least 3x. Sylvia Day's very, very best!! Kudos for her.

enchanting
The best love story I have ever read. I have read these series three times and love them more each time. Just captivating. I don’t understand why the film industry has not made a series out of these books.
