Wide size is very tight
Bought this for my Dad for Father's day and had him try them on to make sure they fit before I took them away to wrap up and give to him on Father's day. I'm glad that I had him try them on first because the fit was terrible! Last time I bought him a pair of Columbia winter boots he complained that they were too tight and I had to return them. So when I saw that these sold in a size ''Wide'' I was hopeful that these would fit well. They did not! They were way too tight on his feet despite being a supposed wide fit. I wear the same size shoes as him length wise so I tried them on as well and I have pretty thin feet and even on my feet these felt very tight even after loosening the laces significantly. I also ordered the low top version of these in a different color so he could choose the ones he liked more and those were also a wide fit shoe. Those ones actually felt like a wide fit so maybe these ones were just mislabeled. There's nothing on the shoe label that says wide fit on either shoe, it only says it on the box so it's possible that these were regular fit shoes that were put in the wrong box. He said that the other ones fit but he put one shoe on for 3 seconds so we'll see if he still feels the same once I give them to him again on Father's day and he actually tries on both and walks around in them.

Order a full size up
Other reviews are right. These shoes fit small width-wise. I ordered a half-size up, and it was still too snug. A full size up is perfect width-wise, and slightly long length-wise.Yes, these shoes make a "slush" sound around your toes when you walk.Overall these are good casual shoes in the urban setting.

Great shoes
I bought these for my 10 year old, he's big for his age, and very destructive. So far the shoes have fit well and they've stood up all the wear and tear that an energetic 10 year old can throw at them. Which is a lot.
