Excellent Quality for the Price
I have researched backdrops and spoken with professional photographers about this subject. As a hobbyist I can not afford the expensive canvas, paper, or vinyl backdrops in a 10x20 which they recommend. SO I was looking for something that would fit my back drop frame which is about 9ft wide by over 10ft high and extend out onto the floor under my subjects. I read about light leakage of cheaper fabric backdrops, but needed something. So I purchased this, tacked it with clips OVER a solid drapery curtain bought previously at a home store, thereby eliminating light leakage. Yes the fabric had fold wrinkles from packaging , but it was a good quality synthetic fabric, (not a flimsy, wrinkled muslin) and did not reflect light from my bounce flash. A little post processing eliminated the fold lines I could not quickly steam out - a black background is easy to darken. SO I am very pleased with this for under $40. I only wish they sold it in gray, which is what I really wanted but needed something in a hurry for prom photography in inclement weather.

Good quality and very usable
The material looks and feels good quality. It has a satin finish one side and a matte finish the other, which is a nice addition. You can see through the material if you hold it up to the light, but to be honest you shouldn't have it have a light source behind it for portrait work anyway. Creases came out easily after hanging it for a while. So far I am pleased with this purchase.

Does exactly what it is designed to do
I was hesitant ordering this backdrop due to the reviews that I had read. They kept talking about how thin the material was and how it let light through. The more I thought about it though, the more I realized that the point of this material was not to act as a blackout curtain to keep light out, but to keep from absorbing light in a studio setting. For that purpose, this backdrop works very well. The 10x20 size is perfect for my background stand and I can have it extended 9ft up and still have well over 10ft on the floor for a completely black background. I can also drape this over a platform for figure studies. It is cheap, so if the time comes that it no longer photographs well, I can replace it very easily. It is not heavy duty and won't last for hard use, but those looking for supplies that are geared for that kind of use are not looking at this price point. I do studio photography as a side gig to my landscape photography and for that limited use, this is absolutely perfect for me.

Pretty good.
Quality of the fabric is better than most I've owned.

Wrinkles easily, but easy to fix (see tip)
It's a great size, and much thicker and sturdier than I thought it would be. Beautifully deep black color and just the right size (perhaps even bigger!) for a photo shoot. Or for a video shoot, where you are mainly stationary (this is what we use it for).**TIP** : When this comes (and after you've stored it for a little bit) it "wrinkles" where you fold it. So instead of ironing it, I popped it in the dryer with a few ice cubes for about 10 min.Takes the wrinkles RIGHT out and you're left with a silky smooth backdrop!

great product
Really like the product, I ordered just a few to see if they would work for the charity event I was doing - they worked great but when I went back to buy more to finish the project, they weren't selling them any more. I found them through another source, but it was almost 3 times what I paid for these. It was for a charity event so we are trying to watch every dollar - so unfortunate - now 1/5 of the space I needed these for is covered with this product, which looks great, and the rest is covered with random black sheets of fabric.

Fine black fibers almost in dust form
They thickest and darkest black background I've ever purchased, BUT, it had an unusual amount of "fuzz" all over it. Fine black fibers almost in dust form. The back has an almost velvety feel to it. Not exaggerating but it's like take a trash bag and fill with cotton and explode it in your house. I had to sew two of these to two gray ones for auto studio. I was coughing for two days. They are the closest I've ever bought to a true 10'x20' as well. It's worth the price, but put it straight in the washer before use.

Great quality and I would recommend, but it's not a blackout curtain.
It's really great. Worked perfect for my needs and the quality is amazing for the price. I'd recommend for those who need a great backdrop solution at a low price and it folds small, great for storage. One side looks like felt, the other has a bit of shine to it. The only note I would make is that it's not very thick so it cannot be used as a 'blackout' curtain. If you put in front of daylight windows, light will shine through, so adjust your camera settings accordingly.
