I have skin that easily dries out, when I purchased this the skin on my chest was dry, itched, and burned badly. I knew that I didn't need just any moisturizer but rather something with plenty of ceramides. After checking ingredients on numerous of other replenishing lotions, including cerave, I found this particular lotion to have the most ceramides which means a better and faster chance at replenishing my damaged skin barrier.Now I'll be honest and say it didn't fix my skin right away but after about 3-4 days I noticed the redness on my skin disappear, after about 5 days the dryness was gone and about a week from when I started using it the itching had decreased by about 90%. Another plus, and actually one of the things I normally require in cosmetics but that on this instance I was willing to overlook because of how bad the condition of my skin was is that this brand is a cruelty free.The only thing I am not crazy about is the scent but it dissipates rather quickly so it isn't too big of a deal. As for consistency, it dries down very quickly but is still extremely effective. I was surprised at how quickly this product delivered results considering it dries down to where it doesn't really feel like you've applied it on your skin. This is definitely an A+++++ for me, I will definitely buy this product again because no other product I have purchased has helped my skin barrier repair itself when it is damages the way this lotion has.
