Tiny Toys to Knit (Twenty to Make)

Cute, quick little toys
This is a nice book! It's got tiny little cute things that work up really fast. I'm not too experienced with knitting toys, I usually stick to clothing and accessories, but these are turning out pretty easy for me. Giving me a bit of practice with embroidering which I honestly suck at.. I made a few so far (first 2 in the book, cat and teddy bear) and my kids love them and keep asking for more. I've made 2 cats and 2 bears, each time my kids are watching and cheering, it's pretty fun.Oh yeah, I've been using size 7dpns and worsted weight yarn instead of size 2's and fingering weight yarn, and mine are still bitty ornament sized things. Super cute.

Definitely knitting fun
I have enjoyed making toys from all of Ishii's books. The patterns are easy to understand and so cute. I hope she continues to bless the knitting world with her creativity. The patterns are perfect for "shoebox" ministry toys. Using bigger needles and thicker yarns also makes larger toys. I think her patterns are great.

Satisfied.
Some of these are not what I would ever make, but what I did make turned out cute. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Tiny Treasures
I love this book. There are so many tiny treasures, it would be impossible to pick a favorite. Although the snail is really appealling. Instructions are well written and no difficult knitting skills required.

Extremely useful for knitted amigurumi.
Instructions very clear and easy to adapt to circular knitting. Appreciate that items are more realistic than merely cartoon-ish.

tiny toys for all
Nice small book to fit in your knitting back. All the patterns should be done on double pointed needles, uk 12s and knit with fingering wool or as shown in the book, tapestry wool. These are to fine for me and will be knit on uk 11s or 10s and dk wool. They will come out a bit bigger but as most of the knitting the book come out as 2 -1/2ins , being a bit bigger does not matter, just as long as you cant see the stuffing it's ok. There is something in the book for all, rockets and space ships for boys animals for little girls plus a lovely little angel for all as you cant have too many angels. they would make nice key rings , bag charms , a good luck token or a mirror dangler in the car., the possibilities only stop when your imagination stops.

Such adorable patterns, but harder than it looks!
Sachiyo Ishii is fast becoming one of my favourite craft people, and I love the cute knitted characters in this book. I have found them quite difficult as I'm only a beginner, and some of these techniques are a bit advanced for my understanding - perhaps bear that in mind if getting this as a book for a newbie. However, despite this, the patterns are so well designed and cute that it'll probably be a very popular book no matter what skill level, and certainly gives me something to work towards :) highly recommended.

A Neat Little Book for its Target Readership
I'm a crocheter and I don't knit at the moment but my other half is a beginner knitter. I bought him this as I thought that smaller projects might be good motivational practise- a way to learn skills without committing to a larger project when confidence is low. Upon reading the intro it seems that this is exactly what the author had in mind, so far so good! He likes the look of some of the patterns but not all are to his taste. The price of this product was very low compared to many of its kind so if he likes more than half of the patterns it is money well spent.I hope he enjoys the book and when I start knitting I'll definitely use it.

I love these little gems
I now have two books in this series. Cheap to buy and good quality, they allow you to make a lot of tiny toys to use up scraps of wool. They're easy to make, a little fiddly to stitch up because of the size, but the cuteness factor is immense. It's great to be able to finish a little project in a limited time. I love these books.

So easy and cute.
Really cute little toys and mascots to make in a couple of hours. I have made them into keyrings, bag charms and as take along toys for children's pockets. Make great party bag presents or tiny stocking fillers at Christmas.
