Gagalileo Golf Hitting Net for Backyard Driving 12x7FT with Quiet Target

I highly recommend this product. This is the second Galileo practice net. The first was set-up outdoors and after 2+ years of use finally needed to be replaced. I bought my current net to practice hitting irons in my garage. I've hit thousands of balls into it over the past 10 months (purchased Aug. 2022) and the net has taken everything I can send at it. I don't always hit the target so the netting strength was very important to me. It has withstood ball speeds of 125 mph. There are 3 weak points... (Based on my first net which was used outdoors for over 2 years) 1. After months of use a topped driver shot tore through the plastic flooring where it attaches too the netting. Once the tear started there was no stopping it. Over time the plastic bottom at the back was completely detached from the net. The net was still useable however topped balls could fly under the net. 2. The material used for the top. After a year of sun and rain the roof material failed when a miss hit 7 iron broke through. Like the floor once the tear started there was no stopping it. (Duct tape couldn't hold it together.) 3. The target. The description says it is for designed for practicing chip shots and other low-intensity shots so I cannot fault Galileo for the failure. What I can say is they replaced the target no questions asked. They also followed up with an emails making sure that I was happy with their service. I am! I found a way to use the new target without ripping through. I hung a thick cloth (painters tarp type material) behind the target. It has been a couple months now and the target has withstood over 2000 impacts with ball speeds up to 120 mph. I suggest pairing with a launch monitor to track where your shots would end up on the course. I was hitting the center of the target from about 9 feet away however, due to ball spin a shot can be significantly offline. The combination of the Galileo net and launch monitor has allowed me too practice with purpose and improve my game. The net paid for itself by eliminating just a few trips to driving range.

The previous net I had was constantly getting blown down. This net has additional tie-down ropes for all four supports that prevent this from happening. This net is also wider and has a much bigger "target" area. Setup took a bit longer but seems to be well worth it. So far, I'm very pleased with this net. Update : The straps that connect the net to the ends of the poles are made of a cloth-like material and 2 of them have broken. I notified Galileo about it but unfortunately they don't have spare parts for the net. I went to Jo-Ann and bought a yard of polypropylene strapping for about $3. I advised Galileo that the current straps they're have are using a material that will fail. The Customer Service person I contacted gave me a partial refund that more than covers the cost of the new strapping. Great customer service!

Purchased the Gallileo Net and the item works Ok. If you're using the net strickly indoors it work great. It will withstand your shots and gives you a large target. No worries or issues there. Placing the net outdoors it's an entirely different story. The frame is too flimsy, and it's very tricky to set up. For this reason I wouldn't recommend setting it up, then breaking it down to set up again, way too much work. If you set up outdoors and leave it there, don't count on the net lasting long. Hence the reason for the title. Mine is holding up well for now but you can see the writing on the wall. Some golfers look amazing hitting off a golf mat. This sometimes provides a false sence of security. Hitting off the grass truly shows how good a golfer you actually are. That's how I equate this net, outstanding on one end and subpar on the other. Since the net was outside the support poles that keeps the net upright, wore out rather quickly. I contacted Gallelio and communicated with Nana who sent me brand new poles. Nana service was exceptional and I received the replacement poles quickly within 2-3 days. Unbelievable service! Thanks Nana!

I am a beginning and my husband is an experienced golfer, and so we got this to share. For my ball speed/strength, I think it will work great. I'm hopeful that he'll be able to use it without destroying it. As you can see from the first photo, the target (the part that I hoped would stop most balls) is very thin--so thin that you can see right through it. The fourth and fifth photos show up-close views of the target--so thin that the adhesive of the target is clearly visible through the back side. It's deceptively opaque, appearing much thicker, in all of the photos on the listing. The mesh appears to be average, but the seams to the entire setup are strong fabric. Unfortunately, it wasn't the seams I was worried about, but the ball-stopping components. I've hit four balls into it, so I cannot yet attest to the durability, but will supplement this review. I unboxed and set this up alone in less than 20 minutes. I hope that it's a good rainy day tool for practicing shots from the garage. If it lasts through a full season, I'll be thrilled. Update: 5 weeks into use of about 50 balls/day and it's ripped. This is an opportunity to see what kind of customer service Galileo Sports provides. I will update once I hear back from them (emailed 4/17). Update 2: (April 25) I heard nothing from the company. The customer service # listed at Amazon does not receive calls. From their website, the WhatsApp chat is closed down as well. The company proclaiming excellent customer service and fantastic warranty has ghosted us. We contacted Amazon and and they are replacing the entire unit so long as we return the original one through the warranty replacement service. I asked that we just get a new target, but they couldn't do that because we bought it as a package deal. I do not recommend working with this vendor. While we like the idea of the hitting net, the fabric for the target is just not durable enough. The replacement product arrived quickly. I went to the fabric store and bought 1 yard of utility netting and hung it with elastic over the target to absorb some of the shock from the bal to minimize wear and tear on the target fabric. I did not attach it because I want it to move freely. (See last photo)

Just got this golf practice net to warm up as we enter the golf season. Overall I’m pretty satisfied with it. I’d give three stars for easy to assemble though. While it was easy to put together and get upright, the poles need to be put together in a way that allows the interior tarp to hang. So there is an exterior and interior side when you put the net together that wasn’t obvious. It took a few tries and an hour or so but we got there. Now that it is up, I’ve got all clubs into the net without problem. The tarp sometimes returns the ball back to your feet if you hit it just right. For the money spent, this has saved me quite a few range sessions on the convenience of my own home.

It is a good item as it is easy to install and practice golf, but this product is too weak. As you can see in the picture I attached, the rings around the corner of the net got torn off within two weeks, so I had to sew it. Moreover, one of the sturdy steel pipes got split in half just a month after I purchased it, which I can no longer return since it's a day past the deadline. This is disappointing because I cannot fix the sturdy steel pipe, unlike the patches supporting the rings.

Easy to setup, take anywhere, practice at home or the park.

This net is perfect for warming up prior to playing a round of golf. I use it outside and it is very sturdy in design. However, the target cloth will wear out fast with heavy use. Customer service is very understanding and responds within 24 hours if you have any problems. They supplied me with a brand new target cloth at no extra charge. Great company to do business with!

Overall the net sets up nice and I think it would work fine for someone with lower swing and ball speeds. I swing my driver around 120 with a ball speed in the 170’s. I blew a hole in the provided target with my 8 iron one the first day. This was not all to big of a deal as the target caught the wind too much causing the net to blow over and ended up snapping the poles. I managed to repair the pole to keep using the net and i discarded the target all together. The net itself lasted awhile however I hit a low bullet with my 3 wood that came out a bit low and ended up hitting the net nearer to the stitching. It tore a hole in the net as pictured and the ball launched through the net, through the tree branches behind it and hit my neighbours shed. Again I think if you’re not hitting the ball as hard as I am or if you hit it hard but are always able to hit the center of the net and never miss hit the golf ball then this net would probably work fine. If you’re like me and can hit the ball pretty solid but don’t have tour level accuracy then you may want to look for something more durable.

Opened the package and put together the brand new net and realized there was acouple of holes in the mesh. Very unable with that.
