Good Collar. I highly recommend!
I have been using Hartz collar and dog shampoos for years. They never disappoint. This year I forgot to re-order the flea collar, which was not good as ticks are terrible this year. I finally got the collar, and it has made a world of difference for my dog. I also appreciate the price. Most name brand flea collars can cost up to $60, so to get a good product for under $10 is something I am very happy about. The scent isn't strong and doesn't irritate my dog. I have an aging pitbull who not only has a large neck, but she is starting to sag in the neck area. This collar fits with plenty of room to spare. This allows her to be safe but also comfortable, which I appreciate.

It works!
It works! My dog was getting fleas every time we went to the park and no amount of flea medicine was helping with that. We got this and literally the same day she stopped itching and scratching like crazy, I bathed her as well and no more fleas showed up. I didn’t smell any strong scents coming from the collar, I found it very easy to cut and put it on her, doesn’t feel greasy. Looks just like a regular collar. She didn’t get any reactions from it either so I’d buy it again.

All Pros So Far, This Was The Safest Collar I Found As Far As Side Effects
I’ve had it on my outdoor cat for 3 days so far so good. I found a tick under his collar prior to this purchase. I’m hoping he remains tick free. He has a tracker collar on, the flea & tick collar is under his other collar. I’ve been checking him and so far there’s no reaction. No irritation, no hair loss and it doesn’t bother him, he’s unaware of it being on. You can cut the length you need. There is a whole lot left after it’s cut. Too bad it doesn’t come with another buckle. You could use it as a backup or make two collars. It doesn’t have a strong scent and when I looked it up it shows as non toxic to cats. It was fairly easy to put it around his neck. I left it extra long and tightened it as needed when it was on instead of trying to undo the buckle or whatever you call the front piece lol. So far so good, happy with the purchase. I’ll update if I find it not working but I also have flea & tick drops on him as well.Update: 4-5 weeks later no ticks of fleas found on my boy. Doesn't really have a scent but says they last about 6 months. So he’s still wearing it.

It Works but… Monitor Your Animals Closely
It worked, but it caused problems. I’ve bought this collar 3 times and trialed, and I know that correlation isn’t necessarily causation, but I feel it is important to put out here.Side effects; my dog experienced not one but two UTI’s after using this. He is 6 months old and with the week of putting on the collar became incontinent. After another week I took him to the vet where he was dx with a UTI. Collar broke the next day, so it didn’t last long (big dog, fast growing, snagged and ripped the plastic securement off). His symptoms cleared up, and we went on. I bought another one after this thinking that since he was feeling better he could tolerate the medicated collar again - I was wrong. The exact same slew of symptoms started within the week of applying. Wetting the kennel, incontinence at night, howling while peeing, etc. I took the collar off again, and gave him cranberry supplements on vet recommendation and it took another 2 weeks to clear up. Tried it once more and the second I saw a moment of incontinence I took it off.TL;DR I think my dog is allergic to it or experiencing an unlisted side effect. It functions for the animals who aren’t allergic to it. Be aware of your animals normal functions and watch closely for changes. He could have died if we weren’t watching the changes medically - we are new dog owners and he had a persistent fever for over 2 weeks and we didn’t catch on because we didn’t know.

Attracts fleas
Bought 7 collars 2 for dogs and 5 for cats. Hart flea collars attract fleas, they do not kill fleas.I've always used seresto collars and they work like magic. Collars weren't lasting full 8 months so I asked my vet. He said try different collars, maybe fleas population is developing immunity. Didn't have super high hopes with these because they seemed way too cheap to actually last as advertised. However, 11k reviews with 4 stars what would it hurt to try.....Gave everyone capstar to kill anything on them. Received the collars 2 days later and put them on. No visible fleas on my dogs or cats when collars went on. Some flea eggs, but collar should be working by the time they hatch. Figured we would be good.......11 days my animals had these collars on and the fleas exploded! The dogs had huge nests of flea eggs 2 in away from the collars and huge nest of flea eggs on their bums (not there when collars went on). The fleas were crawling all over them and me! My poor cats weren't any better with the fleas playing on their collars and crawling all over their faces. Fleas were 4 times worse then when I took the old seresto collars off. They were everywhere!Pulled these collars off received new seresto collars 2 days later. Within 4 days wearing new seresto collars no more fleas on dogs, no more fleas on cats, no more nests of flea eggs, no more fleas in the house. These may work for some, but they definitely did not work for us. Makes me wonder if reviews were skewed. Will stick with seresto, even if they quit working a month early, still way more reliable and cheaper than other options I've found.
