My hood finally stays up on its own again. I did watch a youtube video before swapping and it took 10 minutes or less on my 2007 Acura. But the old ones popped out and these snapped in. This was a year ago and no issues. Nice if I am working under my hood and do on needs to find something to prop it up with .

It works well and I don’t have to work about my hood slamming onto my car or having to hold it up myself. Easy to use and install. Been had them for about 3 months and they work great.

My Acura TL had the infamous not working supports for the longest time and I just kept blowing it off not replacing them because I thought it was going to be a big hassle but bro these work so well. I didn’t even need tools to get them on either surprisingly I just knocked the old ones off and snapped these right on and now it feels so much better being able to work on my car and not having to prop my hood up with something.

Youtube video very helpful. I was able to pop the old struts off in about 20 seconds per strut. On the new ones, I was able to loosen the upper clip in no time. I then tackled the bottom one. However, I spent 15 minutes trying to loosen the bottom clip. In frustration, I placed it over the lower knob and popped it on with my fist. It was solid. I wished I would have known that I didn't need to loosen the bottom clip. Anyway, the second strut went on in about 2 minutes tops. Super strong struts. I threw away the pole I'd been using to prop up the hood. Wished I'd done this a lot sooner!

Very Happy with this Item...once I figured out to just pop the retaining clips half-way off...installation was simple..!!During install...do NOT snap the retaining clips totally off of the cylinder...!! Just pop the retaining clip half-way which allows the removal/insertion of the retaining sphere into the cylinder...then snap the retaining clips back to fully ON..!!These are very STOUT hydraulic cylinders...I had only replaced one and my hood was up to full attention..! I decided to just use one and save the other for when this one wears out....Probably not in the lifetime of the vehicle..!!Did I mention that this cylinder is STOUT..??

Easy to install and they work perfectly.It's nice when the hood of your car stays up securely rather than falling down and getting clunked in the back of your head.

I have tried to keep my Acura serviced with Acura parts, but the OEM cost compared to Maxpow's shock struts was too significant to ignore. I gave it a chance and it exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and ease of install. The instructions were not intuitive so I did look at a Youtube video to make sure I did it right. Piece of cake.
