Died after first charge then didn't recharge again
I charged the battery exactly how it instructed me to on the packaging and then let it run all the way out (because the packaging said to do that) and then when I charged it again, the battery would not hold a charge to even hold the scope on. I have an exam on Friday and it's Wednesday and now I'm screwed. Please don't put your trust in this product or this company, as they will let you down 100%.

Worked first time
Tried generic battery marketed as a replacement for the Welch Allyn 72300 that costed half. That battery was DOA. The official branded battery here worked first time. If you don't have or want to spend time messing around with returns just get this one and be done.
