SilverStone Technology FF81 80mm Standard Fan Filter with Honeycomb Grille, black, SST-FF81B

Purchased 3 of these filters for 3 different computers. Both my husband's Antec case and my daughter's Corsair have two exhaust fans on the top of the case. His has two installed 120mm fans, and her's has mounts for 2 140 mm fans, only one of which currently has a fan installed. This filter worked very well for both computers. I used the third on my older Gateway, which has an oblong grid of holes on the side of the case to provide airflow for the after market heat sink fan on the CPU. This filter easily covered the larger grid holes with room to spare. The magnets make it a snap to both install and remove for cleaning. The mesh is fine enough to prevent pet hair and the majority of dust bunnies access to your sensitive components. I haven't noticed any significant decrease in airflow. The frame was sturdy and the product appears to be made well. This is a cheaper alternative to Demciflex filters for places that don't require large areas. I did have to order a Demciflex for the side of my daughter's Corsair case because the 200 mm fan grid is HUGE. But this Silverstone works great for more standard fan combinations. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Worked great to tidy up the modification to fit an 80mm fan to a plastic enclosure. It would be nice if the mounting screws were just a hair longer - I managed to get them to engage on the fan and hold both pieces onto the side wall of the enclosure but only just

I installed this on my Rosewill Challenger case for the side vent. The magnetized points hold it well on the metal panel. Note for Challenger case owners, if you're particular with alignment and aesthetics, you may want a different solution than this; in order to cover all of the open vents, you're going to have to deal with this not being completely centered. The Challenger has the fans mount sort of offset to the left, while leaving about less than half an inch of open vent that the fans don't cover on the right. (I'm going to try to upload a photo of it on here). The thing I like the best about this filter is it's very easy to remove due to the mounting option is magnets. And just lightly tap it against a table outside to remove the dust, or for harder stuck on dust take a vacuum to it or use an air compressor to blow the dust out from the intake side. Overall it holds well, and filters great. Easy installation and easier dismantle for when I need to clean the dust off.

Even though the grill is plastic, it does the job just as well as a metal grill, and the plastic is very well made. The internal dust filter catches loose pet hair and larger dust. I consider dust filters essential for any fans on the direct bottom or top of the case (to stop falling dust or dust from the surface the computer is resting on). This is a stylish, cheap solution for 80mm fans. If you have an opening you drilled/cut to add a fan, and thus have no grill on the case you're using it for, this is a great product to cover the hole. Don't overtighten so you don't crack the plastic, but that's obvious. It also has slits on the side so it can clip onto a case opening that uses certain kinds of clips (you'll probably wind up screwing it in though). Having the grill and filter 2-in-1 is extremely convenient and this thing cleans fairly easily. If, however, you're buying this to act as a dust filter for a fan slot on your case that already has a metal grill, I highly suggest you either buy JUST a dust filter or cut the actual grill of this thing off (WARNING: THIS WILL VOID PRODUCT WARRANTY. DUH. If anyone asks, I did NOT recommend this). The mesh is NOT removable. If the two grills don't line up right, the two contrasting grills will impede airflow a lot. If you need to modify one of these, the central emblem and exterior are affixed to the mesh, but not the actual grill, so you can cut the grill out CAREFULLY with nippy-clippers (trace the circular perimeter then cut out the emblem and the disc grill comes off) and be left with a rather stylish filter, but it's very rough around the edges, so you'd probably be better off buying something else unless you really like the look of this one. The circular exterior helps with airflow a bit, and this thing just plain looks nice. Overall, this is a great buy for the right situation. Took off 1 star since the mesh isn't removable.

Wanted to have cleanable media for my Fans ,Built my entire computer through Amazon for less than it cost me to buy my Macbook Pro. This is the motherboard I decided on since it had two Ethernet connections that I could dedicate to CNC machines to avoid any crosstalk. By the time I write this I'm sure that they probably have come out with a better board, but what can you do , have to get on the marry-go-round sooner or later. My Case I chose is the Chenbro Rackmount 4U Server Chassis that accepts this board without any issues.Intel i74790 processor, NZXT aperture card reader, Corsair Vengeance 32 GB DDR3 RAM,Samsung slim internal disk drive, Corsair CXM 750 Watt power supply, Samsung 850 pro 512 GB SSD ,TP Link n900 wireless dual band pic express card, NZXT Sentry 3 touch screen fan controller with extra fans. And a killer 4 monitor graphics card that I can't remember what it was now. Couldn't be happier with my setup, Being I haven't built a computer since the mid 90's it was really cool to see this come together without any issues at all, Definitely the way to go if you want a clean computer without any BS software preinstalled from the factory.

My new PC did not come with any dust filters. The top plastic vent panel is the exact same size as this filter. So, I removed the panel and replaced it with this. I appreciate how fine the material is. It traps most of the dirt and dust, but doesn't affect the air flow. The magnets are kind of weak, though. I do wish they were stronger.

I have a DIY "rack" I put in my laundry room since that's where the ISP originally ran the coax for our cable internet. After about a year of the IP equipment gathering dust and lint I finally installed these covers on my fans. As far as I can tell these have a negligible influence on the airlow, and haven't increased the sound level. They also fit perfectly over my 80mm fans, and came with matching black fan screws.

The filter itself felt nice and sturdy. It was easily converted to a magnetic filter by epoxying some disc magnets to the mounting holes. Needed a filter for an outward facing Noctua 80MM PWM fan that was being used on low so as to reduce noise, but this seemed to reduce airflow by a bit too much for a nearly enclosed environment where the fans weren't controlled by some external source. I could increase the fan speed manually, but I figured I would just opt for a much less restrictive filter screen instead. I'll probably repurpose this eventually for the other 80MM fan I plan on putting into a cabinet.

黒い取り付けネジも同封されており、取り付けた時もネジが目立ちません。製品の仕上げも良いです。以前、他の金属製のものを購入しましたが、仕上げが悪くガッカリしていたところ、今回、この製品を購入し交換しました。製品としては満足です。

Buona griglia in plastica, posizionata sui fori di aerazione in un case itx, dai quali entra sempre polvere. L'effetto estetico è apprezzabile, la presenza del logo al centro da valore al mio case altrimenti anonimo. Ne ho comprate 2 a 5 euro, una da 80 e un'altra da 120 mm, installate esterne al case fanno bene il loro lavoro e sono pure belle da vedere.

Lo utilice para el panel frontal del gabinete Phanteks P400s (Corte el panel para mejorar la ventilacion) y no queria que entrara mucho polvo, este filtro me salvo el dia ya que cumple con su objetivo, se ve genial y es facil de instalar y remover con sus imanes, no he tenido problemas que se quede en su lugar pero no hubiera estado mal ponerle un par de imanes extras
