I originally bought these Shout Color Catcher sheets thinking they’d be one of those “maybe it helps a little” products, but after using them for a while now, I honestly don’t want to do laundry without them anymore. They work exactly as advertised. I’ve used them in loads with mixed colors, darker clothing, newer shirts that tend to bleed dye, and even with towels, and these sheets genuinely help prevent color transfer. The first time I used one, the sheet came out noticeably discolored from trapped dye, which immediately showed me it was actually doing something. The biggest benefit for me is convenience. I don’t feel like I have to obsessively separate every single load anymore. Obviously I’m still careful with brand-new bright reds or deep dark fabrics, but for normal everyday laundry these save a ton of time and let me combine loads with much more confidence. Another thing I like is that they don’t leave behind any residue or weird scent. You just toss one in with the wash and forget about it. Super simple. A few things I really liked: Helps prevent color bleeding surprisingly well Lets you mix loads more confidently Great for newer clothes that release dye Works in both cold and warm water No added fragrance or residue Saves time and cuts down on extra laundry loads The large 72-count box lasts quite a while I’ve also noticed my clothes seem to stay brighter longer since using these regularly, especially darker shirts and workout clothes that normally start looking faded after repeated washes. Obviously they’re not magic — I still wouldn’t throw a brand-new red hoodie in with white towels — but for everyday laundry they work far better than I expected. Definitely one of those products that quietly becomes part of your regular routine once you try it. Easy 5 stars from me.

I am a long time believer and user of Shout Color Catchers when I have new clothes or a white shirt with a Red stripe on it these little things prevent any dye from spreading to my Whites or other light colors. I also use them when washing the towels because they are dark grey and my kitchen towels and other bathroom towels are white with red stripes and a light tan and I throw two in and no dye transfers to my white.red stripe towels. Love these and when they are used/wet I use them to wipe out the lint trap, multi uses!! Easy open box leave to leave on top of the washer, one important note is ***you must remove your clothing when the laundry stops because dye can still transfer if left to sit against one another*** Highly Recommend.

BEST thing on the market! You can wash all clothing together (whites and darks) and the colors don’t run! Whites are still whiYE I wah everything in cold but some colors run matter what. These do catch the color!

First, to address the elephant in the room - if you mix a non-colorfast red or black garment (or any dark non-colorfast cloth) in the wash with a lighter colored garment, these will not spare you from the agony of discovering a laundry tub full of pink underwear or gray tees. I’ve learned the hard way. That said, I use these sheets with every load of laundry I wash and am very pleased with the results. When I wash a load of whites, they remain a crisp white. Despite my tendency to overbleach, they no longer turn toward a yellowish tint or gray tint. In fact, old sheets, towels and t-shirts that were discolored to that tell-tale gray or yellow have actually had an astonishing amount of their original bright whiteness restored. The color catcher doesn’t fare as well. At the end of the whites cycle, it comes out looking gray or rust colored. When I toss color catchers in with my colored clothing wash (I don’t sort colors much except to wash very dark colors or new clothing separately - again, I’ve learned the hard way. More than once.) - the sheet comes out of the wash with a hodgepodge of colors on it that I will call “vomit”. My clothing? Bright and crisp colors. Regarding my colored clothing, I assumed for pretty much my entire adult life that most of my wardrobe faded in the wash. After just a few washes, colors would be less vibrant, faded looking, even dingy. These color catchers have really extended the life of my clothing and I have tees I’ve washed weekly for over two years that are still bright and new looking. That’s not an exaggeration. I think if a person sets their expectations properly between reality and fantasy, they will fall in love with these color catchers. I absolutely will not do laundry without them. Again, they won’t stop non-colorfast fabrics from ruining an entire load of light colors. But they will attract and lock the little bits of dye that might leach from your average wash and wear clothing. They will also pull dirt from the wash water, as my husband’s work uniforms clearly demonstrate. And they attract and lock in rust, chlorine and other hard water contaminants that are probably making your clothing look faded and dingy. Sorcery! These sheets are nothing short of amazing. I truly hope they are never discontinued!

I use this in almost every load of laundry because sometimes with my darks, I have a bright red top and nothing bleeds onto anything. It is a wonderful product for prevention of bleeding colors.

I’ve been using these Shout Color Catcher Sheets for years, and they’re one of those products I never want to be without. They do exactly what they’re supposed to do—help prevent loose dyes from transferring onto other clothes during the wash. I especially like using them when washing new clothing, since that’s when excess dye is most likely to bleed into the water. The sheets trap that dye before it has a chance to end up on the rest of your laundry, which gives me a lot more confidence when mixing colors. They’re affordable, effective, and consistently reliable. After years of use, they’re still the only color catcher sheets I buy. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

These color catcher sheets have made mixed loads a lot easier for me. They do a good job picking up loose dye and reducing the amount that transfers onto other clothes, which means I don’t have to be as nervous about washing different colors together. I still use some caution with brand-new dark clothing, and if I have a load with something I think might bleed heavily, I’ll sometimes use two sheets. They don’t catch every bit of dye, so I wouldn’t rely on them as a guarantee against color transfer. Even so, they’ve made doing laundry less complicated and given me a little more flexibility with mixed loads. Pros: * Helps catch loose dye during washing * Makes mixed loads less stressful * Easy to use with regular laundry * Can use multiple sheets when extra protection is needed * Convenient and reasonably priced Cons: * Doesn’t catch absolutely all loose dye * Still requires some caution with new dark clothing For the convenience and price, I’m happy to keep these around. They don’t eliminate the need to be careful with clothes that are likely to bleed, but they have definitely made my normal laundry routine easier.

I have a striped sweater that I absolutely love, which is white on top with a thick band of tan beneath it and a thick band of black at the bottom. After many, many times of washing the sweater (with darks, mostly), the white part turned a dingy grey. I didn't know what I could possibly do about it, or how I could prevent newer clothes from suffering the same fate, so I started doing some online homework. I didn't even know these color catchers existed!! I've used these color catchers in a few loads now, and I am amazed. I had a brand new black sweatshirt that I washed with a load of mostly darks, with a couple of pairs of white socks. I threw in a color catcher to see if the white socks would stay white. Sure enough, the color catcher soaked up the black dye and my white socks stayed white. Then, I set about trying to cure my poor sweater that had gone dingy grey at the top. I soaked the top half-ish of the sweater in a bucket of warm water with OxiClean. After about an hour or so, I put the sweater in the wash with just a few other items and a color catcher sheet. I set it to have an extra rinse at the end, too. After that wash, the sweater came out much brighter on top, and the color catcher sheet turned the exact dingy grey that used to be on my sweater. I think the Oxi loosened up the old transferred dye and most of it ended up on the color catcher instead of redepositing on my sweater. Seriously, I thought I was going to have to throw away this sweater, but it looks so much better now that it's back in my regular rotation. It's not as white as it was brand-new, but it's probably 75% as bright, which is a huge accomplishment from where it started (maybe 25% as bright). The cost of these sheets is so small compared to having to replace sweaters that had gotten muddled colors from dye transfer. I'm definitely going to be using these on the regular from now on. Oh, and I think someone mentioned somewhere that these dye catchers need to be put into a separate delicates bag so they don't clog up your machine or something, but I threw mine in without any bag and it held up just fine. Your results may vary, but my LG frontloaders didn't chew it up or have any issues with it at all.
