Tree New Bee TNB-VR001 2016 Cardboard VR V3 Virtual Reality DIY 3D Glasses for Smartphone

As others have reported, the QR code on the box doesn't work to calibrate your phone. The QR code is actually a link to another Tree New Bee product being sold on Amazon, a laptop cooling pad. I tried going to the Tree New Bee website to see if there was a working QR code there and it's empty. This is quite a lot of annoyance for what should be a simple thing.Thank God I had calibrated to another cardboard viewer made by Case-mate I was demoing in a Target yesterday. The QR code works on that box and, since the Case-mate's dimensions are broadly similar to this box, the Tree New Bee works with those settings. I've since found that there are QR codes for numerous other VR units out there at this link: [...] I'm sure you can find one there that'll work (the Tree New Bee box is not included in the list)That said, the actual VR effect is really quite cool. Depending on the app, it can be quite stunning. VR can be equally nausea inducing so your experience will vary. As a device for getting into the Google Cardboard world, this box works just fine. It's dirt cheap, has all the folds in the right places and fits my 5.3 inch LG G5.But there are other dirt cheap cardboard boxes out there that work equally well/poor and have working QR codes. So I would recommend that you purchase one of those instead. The fact that the QR code on this box is a link to another product is WILLFUL DECEPTION by Tree New Bee. It's so sad because the process of creating a QR code is pretty easy. You could do it yourself here [...] Tree New Bee, I guess, couldn't be bothered.Knowing that, would you trust them if you needed, say, a laptop cooling pad?

Works ok. As others mentioned, the QR code doesn't actually work to calibrate the VR glasses, but is a cheap attempt to push another product. But for $6 it works. And with a 10 min google search, you can find a QR code that works. (or use the one here)

I downloaded the google cardboard app and did all of the things in there. But now I don't know what else to do with it....

I thought this was a big gimmicky until I noticed the "view with cardboard" button on every youtube video. Being able to watch the youtube videos in 360 for such a low cost, is really very fun. Don't miss the official 360 channel on youtube, and watch the professionally filmed videos make with 360 degree viewing.

The best Google cardboard on the market!!I ordered severals from several brands and this one is the cheapest AND the best made, and it's already partially ready to use in bonus :)
