Prevents infections, smells good, English Mastiffs cooperate with cleanings.
One ear infection on my youngest English Mastiff resulted in hot spots on his cheek. I didn't realize it was due to an ear infection, but when it spread down his neck overnight we went straight to the vet. We were to take him home and shave his face before using the topical prescriptions. My 250lb husband tried to hold my 200 pound dog while I shaved his irritated face. That didn't work! We ended up having to take our baby back to have him sedated, shaved, and ears cleaned while they had him down. You could imagine that cost! (Although experiencing a drunken mastiff added some comedic value - if only he weren't feeling bad.) The vet advised we stop using a plastic water bowl (without me telling him we had a plastic bowl) and be sure to wash his ears weekly. I've been using this ever since and no more ear issues! I chose it because I'm familiar with the properties of the ingredients in the wash. I clean their ears weekly and let them dry on their own overnight. If the next day I can rub their ears and hear squish, I use the ear dry. I'm blessed that I found this first try! I highly recommend it, and a stainless water dish.

Excellent product. Used this plus combo dry lotion and powder to heal my dog's ear.
This product really worked well for my dog. A couple of months ago, I noticed my dog was shaking his head, and scratching his ear until it got bloody. I tried a vinegar peroxide flush on his ear, and a whole bunch of wax washed out, and his ear was wet and raw and very smelly. I went on every two or three days with this type of flush, but his ear did not get any better. I then did some reading and saw this product, and decided to give it a try. I purchased this product, the combination dry ear lotion, and a dog ear powder. I noticed improvement after the first treatment. However, I still have to put the cone collar on the dog to prevent him from over scratching his ear to this day. After several months, I only have to use the three product treatment about once or at most twice a week. His ears are now flushed with a dilute warm water vinegar using a plastic bulb tip applicator several times, followed by the wash cleaner, dry lotion, and powder. I'm happy to report both his ears have a nice, healthy color, do not flush out loads of wax, and do not have any foul odor. The dog is happy, and I believe this combo has fixed up his ears without the expense of a vet. I'm very pleased with this product. It worked well for my dog, and it never irritated his ears. The product (s) have a nice clove smell that is pleasing as well. Strongly recommended.

It really is the "BEST" ear wash - EVER!
This is the best ear wash I've ever used (and I've used a lot....). I have a 10 year old lab who used to be prone to ear infections (like a lot of labs are - those floppy ears don't get a lot of air flow), we fought them from the time he was a pup. I discovered this stuff at my workplace (I work at a doggie daycare/boarding facility) - it's the stuff my boss had bought for us to use in our groom room (we don't do full grooming, but we have the necessities just in case). I was first amazed at how good this stuff smelled - and then I used it on a few nasty eared labs and basset hounds and I couldn't believe how well it worked! I had to get myself some for my lab and my Rottie mix. I began by cleaning out my lab's ears a couple times a week (about what we normally did to keep them from getting too infected), and then I only needed to do so once a week, and now I only clean them when they get baths (once a month) unless I notice him scratching or digging at his ears (which is extremely rare). This has been the only thing to keep his ears clean (and that's including prescribed cleaners from the vet). I even sold my aunt on it for her Chessies who are prone to dirty ears as well and she's seen a difference, too. She bought it after they had changed their label - but it's the same stuff. If you have a dog that gets ear infections or dirty ears easily, buy this stuff - you won't be disappointed. Use it weekly at first and then you'll probably be able to wean it down to bi-monthly or even monthly use. I don't know what it is, but when it cleans them it helps prevent future build-up - and I love it (no more stinky, gunky ears) and my lab loves it, too (no digging, irritation, or itching)! We've since bought others cleaners to use at work, but I always go for this stuff first. And a bottle this size lasts - I bought my first bottle in October 2009 and still have at least a quarter of a bottle left - and that's using it on 2 dogs at least once a month.

Beat out there
This is the best ear cleaner. Drys and cleans, fresh scent and doesn’t burn. I have used it for my dogs for years.

Amazing results!
I have an 8 year old Beagle that has always had a lot of waxy buildup in his ears. Cleansers my vet would sell me would halfway work, but never fully get rid of the problem. He got so bad last year, he had to have a deep ear cleaning by the vet. That did a lot to help, but over time, the problem returned. His ears have been bothering him so bad lately, he has thinned out the hair on his ears from scratching so much. I finally decided to look for an alternative to the various products we have gotten through our vet's office. I am SO glad I tried this cleanser! I used it last night flushing the ear and wiping out with cotton balls the best I could, then did a simple flush this morning and did a cleaning with the cotton balls again tonight. In 3 uses, as far as I can see into his ear there is no more wax, there is NO smell in his ears other than the smell of the product, and he quit scratching his ears completely, so I know the ingredients have really soothed them. I have never gotten this good of a result with any other product and I have used quite a few! Highly recommend! You will need some type of squirt bottle to transfer the product into, it comes in a bottle with a cap like a shampoo bottle has...I can only imagine what kind of mess you would make trying to pour it into their ears with the cap that it comes with.

Good prevention
I got this cleaner to prevent any ear infections on my black lab. She loves to swim, so every time she goes swimming (at least twice a week in the summer) she gets a good rinse and then I clean her ears. I only skirt some of the liquid to those flat cotton pads and make sure everything I can reach is clean (never use q-tips). It's been working so far. Is not irritating at all and her ears don't seen to get dirty much. The only bad thing is the smell, yes, it stinks. That's the only reason it doesn't have more stars. Also I haven't treated and existing ear infection so I don't know how good this product is with that. The key for floppy ears is prevention! The price was great, so I would recommend it, but beware of the smell. PS: Yes, it comes like a shampoo bottle and not with the tip

So far, the best formula for my pup's ear infections
I bought this Vet's Best Ear Relief Wash in the summer of 2011 when my puppy was about 6 months. She is now 1 year and 4 months. After she got fixed and had a cone on her head for a couple of weeks, I saw the first signs of smelly, dark brown waxy build up in her ears. She was scratching like crazy (but couldn't really scratch b/c of that darn cone on her head) and I was very concerned. I tried ear cleaners from the vet but it did not help. I like sticking with natural products, I feel like it's the safest way to go and the body does not become resistant to it so you don't have to constantly up the dosage and strength. Anyways, after cleaning out her ears 2 days in the row with this ear relief wash, BAM! The smelly dark brown wax was not coming back at all and it made her ears smell really good! My puppy had no irritation to it at all. There was another time where she had a really BAD ear infection and she whined with bloody, scabby looking ears. I could tell she was suffering and it made me feel really sad too, I used this ear relief wash and she stayed so still like it was calming her pain and itchiness. I now use this regularly, once a week even if I don't see wax or an infection. It prevents any infections from occuring and is a great ear cleaner. I recommend this product to dog owners who want to get rid of their dog's constant ear infections or even to owners who just want a ear cleaner to keep their dogs healthy and happy. I highly recommend this product for puppies as well b/c it is so gentle.

Awesome! Love the scent.
Used it a couple of times already and so far I’m loving it. It’s very easy to use. Just add a few drops to your pet’s ear, place a cotton pad over the ear hole and massage the lower ear so the liquid can work on the whole inner ear. From there you can just use a cotton pad to wipe everything out.

Works wonders
My dog has an ear infection/brown discharge that smells funky, but after cleaning his ears with this, I’m seeing less of the brown discharge and the scent of the ear cleaner is overpowering the funky smell. He still scratches his ear from time to time but not as frequent as before.

Wash ear
Se siente un olor fuerte pero parece que si funcionó para una de mis perras, llegó bien empacado y a tiempo, buen producto.
