I love this Prolux model because it’s easy for me to move around and light enough for me to carry if needed. Attachments are great. I find it to be very powerful on rugs and picks up dust and dirt from bare floors. I can store it in handy places because of its compact size and it’s always ready for me. This is the second of the same Prolux Titan I’ve purchased. The only reason I needed a new one is that I moved and decided to leave the other one at my other place so I can clean up before I move out in a year’s time. I highly recommend this very reliable and effective product.

I took a chance on this brand that I'd never heard of, and I am so glad! It is a great little machine. It's heavy enough to be sturdy and durable but light enough to be easily maneuvered, even in tight spots. Suction is fantastic! It does a good job on hardwood floors as well as carpeting and upholstery, even taking up matted cat hair. The cord retracts easily and completely. In spite of its powerful motor, operation is very quiet, so quiet that my cats don't even run from it. The bags have a large capacity, which I appreciate. It's important to be aware, however, that these bags are not available in stores and must be ordered online. The wand is made of metal, sturdy but easy to take off and on. I love the telescoping feature that allows me to adapt for different areas and tasks. Although some reviewers complained that the hose pops off when you pull on it, I have not had this problem. The secret seems to be making sure the hose coupling clicks when installing it as noted in the instructions. The few quibbles I have are minor. I wish the cord access was higher up on the machine where it could be easily seen. I always have to lift up the machine and look for it. The power button and the cord retract button look alike and are marked so faintly that I constantly confused them. I put a dot of paint on the power button, so that's no longer a problem. The attachments are not so good, but then I haven't seen any in recent years that are. A little adaptor, costing about $5, allows me to use my old attachments. All in all, I am extremely pleased with this machine and amazed at getting this level of performance for such a low price.

Bought this to replace a 20 year old Eureka Boss, so I am getting used to a different vacuum. Great suction. We have a LOT of dog hair, and this vac does great! Love that the floor tool rotates, so very easy to get under furniture. The floor tool does have a wide swath which is good and bad. It is cumbersome in corners. I love the fact that the accessories fit and store on the wand, but they occasionally fall off while vacuuming. There is a nice little piece on the vacuum base that holds the floor tool and hose together while not in use. Retractable cord is terrific. Several ways to control the suction is very user friendly. I had to watch the video to fully understand how to operate and use all of the tools. So far, very happy with the purchase, as I was hesitant to buy a brand that I had not heard of. Price was good. Maybe deserved a few more stars, but I am too new to the product and used my old vac for a long time.

I worked at a vac store for several years, selling vacuums. The average customer isn’t aware of the CFM of airflow, which is the measurement of air flow that is critical in rating vacuums performance. The average manufacturer doesn’t reveal that information, but ProLux has it right in their advertisements. I also did a Water Lift test which is a "sealed suction" measurement to find the pure suction force of the motor. It is obtained by how many inches up a tube the vacuum motors intake can pull up, or lift, the water. ProLux vacuums had very good suction compared to the big manufacturer brands. The company I was working for only sold the ProLux Backpack for commercial cleaning companies and they loved their products. When I saw the canister, which is the vac to own if you have all hardwood floors, which I do, I found myself absolutely thrilled. It’s a great little powerful canister for the money. I have mobility issues and vacuuming in wheeled chair is maximum frustration. The ProLux canister is easy to move, lightweight and the retractable cord makes it easy to handle and carry, I hate winding up cords, it’s very painful for me, so the retractable cord is a luxury feature for me. The tools clip on the wand, which tend to fall off while working, but the metal expansion wand is fantastic, can’t have everything. I’m in love with this vac, just because ProLux isn’t a heavy advertiser as the other big manufacturer’s doesn’t mean it can’t preform as well, if not better. Understand some companies prefer to put their advertising money into the power of the product instead of convincing the general public they built the best machines that fall apart while working that annoy the heck out of the user. It’s a great little canister, works great on bear floors and doesn’t take up much room if your limited on storage space. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Bonnie Caouette 6 hours ago (edited) I just received my cleaner yesterday, did a near-whole house cleaning and felt that I had worked harder than with my upright. I feel like the hose could be longer by a couple of feet, minimum; here's why: ONE - in effort to position the wand fully upright, as in perpendicular to the floor surface to clean the floor in tight spaces, it draws the cannister right up to my feet, with no more maneuverability. Then, I have to push it away to take a step backward. TWO- Due to short hose length, I experienced quite a bit of tugging to pull the canister closer, then pushing it away to get a full 'stride' of floor cleaning, if that makes sense. The tool caddy---- being attached to the wand within the 'working zone' resulted in repeatedly knocking the tools off the caddy and then going through the house to locate them. It would make better sense to have the caddy attached to the machine itself. Before writing this, I revisited many resources to ensure I was getting all the necessary information to correctly operate my new machine, including this video as I could not find any images to clearly demonstrate the use of the clip on the side of the machine; not clearly defined in the instructions; and I didn't even know there was one on the bottom as that is not included in the features key. This video helped me make sense out of how to use the two storage clips; obvious now. As for quality of the machine - I was a bit surprise at the lightweight plastic and do have concern over how long it may be until the machine cover cracks from the inevitable bumping into things. The floor tools are also surprisingly lightweight where I expected a bit more weight. The dusting attachment could definitely be wider; it's like using a toothbrush to clean; I'd say the brush part could be a bit softer to provide a more gently glide over the surfaces on which it may be used. The best feature of the dusting brush is it's swivel design as the curve of the hose-end forces the angle of approach; that is mitigated with the swivel feature. The crevice tool.....the loudest part of the overall operation, as I experienced. It could definitely stand to be longer, by at least twice the current length. I would say also that the brush part of the crevice tool might be better as an optional attachment. As for condition on arrival - there was one loose and broken part in the box, appears to be the cover of the spring mechanism for extending the want. Exposed is a sharp-edged white plastic part, holding the spring in place; while I was still able to extend/retract the wand, this will need to be replaced. I spent a long time researching and deciding prior to my purchase. I'd like to say I am impressed; in all fairness, I think I just need time to get a better feel of this plastic machine.

I just received this item about 2 weeks ago. It's very hard to push! But, I knew that from reading the reviews. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with mostly bare floors, With area carpets in my bedroom and my living room. The living room is shag carpet (13' x 13') and my large bedroom is not shag, but a little thick (13' x 15'). I already sent one canister vac back because it was junk, so I really read up on this Prolux Titan Canister Vacuum!! Everything that I read said that it was exactly what I was looking for! I vacuumed once the first week that I received it, and it was way tougher to push then I realized, but I could live with that! A couple of days ago I went to vacuum for the second time, and I did my bare floors and the bedroom just fine, no problems! When I started to vacuum living room shag rug, the brush roller stopped working. WTF, when checking for the problem, the only thing on the brush was some dog hair (not alot), but nothing else that would cause it to stop working! I even went online and watched YouTube videos, since no manual was sent with the Prolux! So here I am, boxing it back up to send back! DON'T PURCHASE THIS ITEM!!!!

For the cost, this is a great vacuum. It is light weight and has great suction. My home is mostly wood floors and I had to dial down the suctions and adjust the height of the heat to carpet, because it wanted to suction to the floor making it a little hard to push (I'll set it back to high and down on the floor when I want to do a little resistance training). This by no mean diminished the pickup power. You could see the dust and cat hair being picked up all around the head. It is quiet too. Dialing down the suction power even makes it quieter. When we first moved to this house I had a shop vac doing the job. Noisy and heavy! I would chase the cat from room to room because she had no place to hide from that beast. This vac is easy to pull around, quiet and if you needed to carry it, small and light weight. The HEPA filter is a plus with wood floors the dust it collects. No more just blowing the dust around. I was concerned at how this would handle carpet, since I have 1 carpeted room. True this doesn't have a beater bar, but the suction seems to get way down deep. I have an upright vac that I normally use on it, and it's old and lost suction power. When I ran this over the carpet I could hear it picking up bits. Over all, it's a great vac at a great price .

Purchased this 6 months ago (march 2025) This is a great canister vac for the price! Nice quiet wheels, good cord storage and length. Comes with handy tools and although I’m not a fan of the little bracket they give you to clip them on the vacuum for storage it’s a decent effort, but we just keep ours in a basket. Does a great job cleaning hardwoods, tile and area rugs. I can’t speak to high pile carpet because I don’t have it. This vacuum is also fairly quiet when operating and it’s fairly light to pick up when you need to do stairs, etc. Update 10/10/25 - we had an issue with the main hose attachment; it broke or came unglued and I contacted ProLux and they responded right away. Asked a few more questions (order number, etc) and they sent out a replacement part. Excellent customer service!
