BASSDASH UPF 50+ Men’s Long Sleeve Fishing Hooded Shirt with Mask

5 star sun hoodie with built in gaiter is almost perfect and loaded with features the others don't have, all for a value price. The features that really stand out are the mesh panels that run down the sides and under the arms allowing for venting of heat buildup, and the mesh panel on the gaiter allowing hot breath to escape. Other gaiters don't have a mesh panel so your hot breath builds up inside and is pushed upwards into glasses/sunglasses instead of outwards. The hood is nicely sized being neither too small so it won't push off your head or not cover your forehead, or too big obscuring vision. It's just sized correctly. It has thumb loops to keep the top of your hands covered with sleeves being a good length so they look normal when not using the loops. Let's talk about the material which is really comfortable, come in a large variety of colors, and is high quality. Yet, for my own personal preference could be improved compared to some other high dollar popular outdoor brand sun hoodies I own, but at the same time may still fit your own personal preferences perfectly. It's UPF 50+ that blocks 98%+ of the sun's UV rays which is attractive for many, but for me I like a little trade-off between UPF protection and material thickness which would allow more airflow in super hot temperatures. For example my Patagonia Capilene Daily Cool sun hoodie is around 35 UPF which still blocks 97% of UV rays and is noticeably lighter/thinner. 97% protection and being cooler vs 98%+ protection and being a little hotter means I'll happily trade off 1% protection to stay cooler on those sweltering hot days. Same with the Outdoor Research Echo hoodie at UPF 15 which still blocks 94% of UV rays, a 4% trade-off I'll still take any day. The other trade-off though is price with this Bassdash hoodie being a entire 50% cheaper than either of those two other options though personally I'd pay it in a hot second if Bassdash made this hoodie in one of those other thinner materials. Again, nothing wrong with this Bassdash material as it may be just what you are looking for if you want ultimate UPF protection and I still rate it at 5 stars. Finally sizing, it's modern American sized, slightly upsized which means the medium fits like a slightly smaller cut large. I typically wear a large size in most shirts and the medium fits me perfectly. Just something to be aware of. In my months and many many hours of reading/YouTube video reviews/forum posts nothing else comes close to the features found in this sun hoodie and overall I'm very happy with it.

I bought this shirt for my husband as a Father's Day gift because he loves fishing, and it exceeded my expectations! The quality is excellent, and the fabric feels durable and comfortable. It doesn't shrink after washing, the stitching is well done, and the colors are beautiful. One feature I really like is the mesh panels on the sides, which provide great ventilation and help keep you cool. The thumb holes on the sleeves are very comfortable, and the shirt offers excellent sun protection. The hood isn't adjustable, but it's still very comfortable to wear. The face cover also has breathable mesh, exactly as described in the product listing. Most importantly, my husband absolutely loves it! In fact, he liked it so much that I bought him several more in different colors. It's perfect for fishing and any outdoor activity. I highly recommend it!

Best shirt we have bought so far by a long shot. The side mesh area by the armpits/lats is amazing. We are in Arizona and clean pools so we are outside a long time. These shirts are breathable lightweight and so far can put up tight the work and chems we are using. They cover you up well. Wish the version on these shirts were the same for women but they are not. Had to get my wife the men’s very of these with the side mesh as well.

I don't like the feeling of sticky sun screen so I like to wear long sleeve shirts instead. And what's great about this shirt is it has a hood to protect my head. The thin material makes it comfortable in the summer, as opposed to a thick cotton shirt. Very stretchy and soft, no resistance to any movement whatsoever. It does dry fast if you're in a dry climate, but it also gets wet fast if it starts raining. The face gaiter has a mesh fabric over the mouth and nose area, which makes it easy to breath, and may protect you from the sun, but it's not like a face mask where it protects agains airborne particles. The same mesh fabric is also on the sides under the arms that make it breathable. The face/neck gaiter is also not shaped in any way so it might feel a little tight around the face if you're wearing it long term. For me it smushes my nose so I don't really use it. I mainly use the hood to protect my ears and neck and wear a hat over it to protect my face from the sun. But the face gaiter is great to have for annoying mosquitoes. The fabric is pretty thin so this white color, especially when wet, will expose your body, in case any of you out there are particular about your image when the shirt is wet. Which brings me to a little hack in dry climates, and dry climates only, if it's hot outside, soak the entire shirt with water and wring out the excess then wear it. This process will keep you cool as the water evaporates, and just keep a spray bottle around and keep wetting the shirt to keep you cool. This shirt is the perfect material to do this. It's the same concept as an evaporative cooler so this only works in dry climates, in humid areas not so much. Although I don't use it often, I like the little strip of material that goes over your thumb so the sleeves don't ride up your arm. It's a nice option to have, but it also doesn't get in the way if you don't want to use it. Pretty easy to clean, I came across some engine grease and stained part of the sleeve, I just dabbed some laundry detergent on the greased area before putting it in the wash and it came right off. I chose white because it stays the coolest, as opposed to dark colors that absorb heat. Overall if I'm going to be out in the sun this is my go to shirt! Definitely recommend.

Comfortable mostly, kinda tight around the neck

I usually wear Huk shirts, but I was looking for a shirt with a built in mask. For half the price of a Huk shirt, I decided to give this company a try. I AM IMPRESSED!!! I wore this shirt in 90 degree weather and stayed cool. The over size hood protects the sides of my face. The mask is very breathable. My glasses did not fog up at all. The thumb holes were not noticeable under my gloves. I have already recommended these shirts to my fishing charter buddy. I WILL BUY MORE!!!

I have several different fishing shirts, but this one has become my favorite. I first wore it on a recent tuna fishing trip in the Gulf of America, where it handled the sun, heat, sweat, and constant fishing action exceptionally well. I wore it again on Lake of the Woods in Minnesota and had the same experience. It vents well, provides excellent coverage for my face and neck, fits comfortably, and moves easily throughout the day. Whether fishing in the Gulf or up north in Minnesota, it has performed exactly as I hoped. Highly recommended.

Love these shirts!!! I work on a golf course and am out in the sun all day - I’ve tried soooo many sun shirts and they were just too thick and/or too tight. These sun shirts are very light weight and flowy, meaning they don’t stick to your skin when you sweat. The UPF rating is legit also - it’s been mid 90s all week, sun blazing, so now I have a tan line on top of my hands my hands LOL, cuz the sleeves block all the UV rays! The only thing I wish I could change about them is the neck gator - it is completely attached to the shirt. It works great, keeping sun and grass/dirt off your face, but there’s times you don’t need it. It could be sewn in a way that you could wear the shirt and just tuck the gator behind your neck (I’ll prolly just cut the front part of the neck) Otherwise, it’s absolutely perfect!

Cose da sapere: - **Stile**: È un capo molto semplice, spesso con colori neutri o loghi discreti. Se cerchi qualcosa di alla moda per la città, potrebbe non essere la scelta giusta, ma per l'acqua è perfetta. - **Resistenza**: Dopo diversi lavaggi, il tessuto sembra mantenere la forma e l'elasticità, ma consiglio di non usarla in lavatrice con programmi aggressivi per allungarne la vita. - **Caldo**: In giornate molto calde, anche se traspirante, una manica lunga può far sentire un po' più di calore rispetto al nudo, ma il confronto con una scottatura solare rende questo sacrificio inutile. Verdetto: Se passi molto tempo all'aperto in acqua o al sole, la maglia Bassdash è un acquisto obbligato. Costa poco, protegge benissimo e ti fa sentire a tuo agio. Un must-have per chi vuole evitare le scottature senza rinunciare al movimento. Consigliatissima.
