Did anyone else have the experience where this stuck to your skin so bad that it was almost impossible to take off?

No, I have not had it stick that bad. It does stick well, especially if you work outside and sweat a lot......but I do usually take the bandage off in the shower, after the water has soaked it for 5-10 minutes. The bandage is much easier to remove then.

does tape come in 3" width?

No I have never found this tape in 3", but I used the 4" tape and if I needed to trim it I did. I used also have used the 2" and overlapped it to adhere to the bandages which kept everything secure. Either way I made it work.

Is this product hypoallergenic

I can't say for certain that it is hypoallergenic for everyone, but I can say this: I am a redhead, yet I have oily skin. Usually, things that actually stick to my skin cause a rash, but this not only sticks well, it doesn't cause me a rash. This was first used on me in a hospital, when they needed something to stay stuck. I hope that helps.
