How much vigorous activity can this frame withstand?

This bed is great for vigorous mental activity, vigorous television watching, vigorous reading. Physical activity, anywhere on the spectrum of vigor, not so much. The metal legs in the middle of the bed snapped off at the welds, the metal rail then bent, the bed collapsed in the middle, the broken metal supports dug holes in my newly finished hardwood floor. This was 2 months after purchase. Amazon wouldn't extend return. Zinus would not issue refund. Zinus would only send me exact same bed as replacement. I'm out the $100 I paid for assembly, plus my hardwood floor is wrecked.

Does it squeak? Has anyone used this daily for 6 months or more? Do you still like it?

We bought this bed frame about 4.5 years ago in Queen size. The two of us are less than 300 lbs total. Our chonker of a cat probably pushes that over, though. Bed still looks great and has held up with no issues. We have not noticed any squeaks or creaks. I do recommend tightening up the screws periodically, though. They get a little loose after about a couple months and we notice a bit of movement to the bed and the slight beginnings of a noise. Love this bed frame and am thinking of upgrading the stock metal frame that came with our guest bed. That old thing has been warped and broken for over 10 years.

is this bed made of real solid wood? No fillers or glues or other materials added?

It is NOT pine, which is a soft wood. It is some kind of hardwood for the frame and legs and, I think, pine (not plywood as rep said) for the slats. It is finished to a bit like varnished pine or like a light golden oak. They've used some small pieces of hardwood compressed and glued, so that's what the erratic or zigzag colorations are. That saved those small pieces from a landfill somewhere, and that's a good thing.

Very sturdy and wood color is excellent

I never leave reviews. But I am so pleased with this bed frame. It was so heavy, had to have son move into house. But that is not a complaint as it is so sturdy and all parts fit perfectly. Looks very expensive in quality. I have the headboard at the lowest and will probably raise as my mattress is very thick.

Solid & sturdy but…

This bed took a little less than an hour for 2 people to put together. Very sturdy! My only complaint is the upholstery is not like the photos. It’s a darker gray.

Reliable, looks great, easy to assemble

I've purchased several bed frames from Zinus. The quality keeps me coming back. The frames are all super fun and easy to put together (if you like that sorta thing). The veneer on the wood is susceptible to small scuffs so take care and wrap parts if you decide to move!
