Organic Mayonnaise Original Mayo Creamy Condiment for Sandwiches and Simple Meals Made with Organic Free-Range Eggs 15 oz

I have been purchasing this mayonnaise since it first hit the market. It is the only organic mayo I have found that has quality ingredients and doesn't taste horrible. Most companies make the ingredients a bit too healthy, which leads to disappointment (I don't think it always needs olive oil and other weird ingredients or preservatives). It also has the right amount of thickness without being too oily, allowing for consistency in all my recipes (I rarely use it as a condiment, so I can't talk on that front). The only area where this lacks is a common issue with organic (for a good reason). The shelf life is about 2 weeks after opening, and it does spoil after that point. The flavor makes it worth it, though!

I love this product! It's the consistency of mayo. It has a kind of smooth quality which adds to the taste. I like spicy condiments but some of them taste too salty and have a kind of extreme harshness and excessive spicyness to them. This one is spicy but not overly so and not salty to the taste; more refined. It makes me think that perhaps when making it they paid attention to how it tastes and didn't just throw spices into it. I usually wind up tasting it right before using it because I love the flavor!

I love mayo... particularly Hellmann's Mayo! I bought this in order to enjoy things like macaroni salad that I love so much! While it did alleviate the reaction mayo typically creates by running right through me without the need for lactose enzyme pills, the flavor is just a bit off. I'll still use it because I do enjoy it. It's definitely not the same as normal Hellmann's Mayo.

Noticed a few bad reviews, I have to disagree.

The reason I switched to Hellmann's over 35 years ago was because it is smooth, creamy, and doesn't have a taste that overpowers your dish. To put it bluntly, that ain't this organic mess! I just made a huge bowl of homemade chicken salad, using my own home baked boneless, skinless chicken thighs. I had bought this organic nonsense from Amazon Fresh because that's all they had available aside from Hellmann's Light (which in hindsight, I should have bought because it lives up to the original Hellmann's "no added taste"). Anyway, back to this organic mess, after finely chopping fresh white onions, fresh celery, and a couple of serrano peppers for a little kick, I added the small jar of the organic Hellmann's. Immediately, I knew that was a mistake. The chicken salad has a funky taste that you simply can't fix (and I tried). I ended up covering up the bowl, putting it in the fridge, and giving up. It tastes horrible. I had bought the organic stuff earlier in the week because, again, Amazon Fresh here locally was out of the original Hellmann's. I'm now stuck with two more jars as it ended up not being used in the potato salad (thank God, or it would have ruined it too). Amazon Fresh - Please restock the original Hellmann's, and please never run out again! This organic stuff is simply not a suitable substitute, and will ruin your dish. If you're looking for that original Hellmann's "no taste", this is NOT the mayo for you! I strongly DO NOT recommend you buy this. Slight update: After cooling in the fridge overnight, the taste was not nearly as noticeable. There was still a hint of it left, but the other ingredients ended up taking their rightful taste in the forefront of the chicken salad. I had to return and update my review to share that information. I still DO NOT recommend the organic Hellmann's, and I still will never use it again. By the Grace of God, things ultimately worked out this time, but I won't take that chance again.

Doesn’t taste as good as original

I think that it has a great taste and honestly I have no idea how much it cost I don't buy things for how much they cost I look for quality and goodness and taste and this is a good Buy

You can't go wrong with Hellmann's.
