The Music Of David Lynch

Wonderful album - a good summary in music terms about Lynch along movie history. It is a treaure to have this album if you are a lynch fan, it brings tu the present all thL magic of Lynch world. Favourites track for me : In Dreams - Llorando - Dance of the Dream Men - Wicked Game & Soundscape from EraserHead and the Elephant Men. All the other tracks are good, no low points in this album. Have your couch prepared, a good sound system and lets fly your mind!

I don't necessarily care for the charity this purchase supports, but I absolutely love the performances of the songs. Karen O, Sky Ferreira, and Zola Jesus are stunning, moving, modern, gorgeous. And, I am absolutely thrilled to have a recording of Rebekah Del Rio singing her Spanish language version of "Crying" by Roy Orbison. It was moving in the film "Mulholland Drive," and she doesn't disappoint live.

This album is terrific. The vinyl sounds amazing. The music is , as expected, first class and c/w David Lynch's standards of excellence. Prepare to be transported to a dreamscape. I experienced none of the problems others have had with the vinyl. If you're a Lynch fan, buy it!

I got this because Twin Peaks is the rhythm section for a song and Wayne Coyne is on it- to get The Flaming Lips and Twin Peaks on the same record is special to me. The song Twin Peaks does with Tennis is haunting and spectacular .

I never know if it's fair or not to review something like this when what I'm about to write isn't about the music itself (I really was/am excited about the project and the music but haven't really been able to listen to it very well) when what I'm reviewing is the physical aspect. The album is solid, thick, not that thin mass produced vinyl of old but I replaced the first because it skipped while playing on the first play. I tried it on a second player and same place, same deal, although I had a hard time Seeing scratches. I returned it for another and had the same thing happen. I am not rough with vinyl. It wasn't due to my careless handling or something. So I'm giving it 3 stars to be fair to the music that I enjoyed but would give it a big 1 or 0 for the skipping. Basically I paid for the cover art at this point. A fan of S.Fairey...so there's that.

Such a great concert set. Wonderful mastering and wonderful recording. The vinyl pressing was flawless and one of the quietest backgrounds in my LP collection. The cover image has a nice embossed touch and the gatefold is beautiful.

This record was better than I expected. I bought it as a gift for a friend and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.

This vinyl record is under the CAPITAL record label, the mastering and pressing quality is top notch.

El artwork es impecable. Cartón bastante grueso. Gatefold con foto de David Lynch entre bambalinas. Cubierta interior en plástico antiestático muy bueno. Discos 180 gramos que suenan sedosos. Seguro que la grabación y el máster son digitales pero aún así los ingenieros de sonido (primero en el concierto) y luego en el estudio han hecho muy buen trabajo. Lástima que Bowie nos dejara para cuando este disco se gestó si no seguro que nos hubiera deleitado con su I'm Deranged en directo.

Diese Platte ist durch und durch zu empfehlen. Die Qualität der Aufnahme ist dermaßen dynamisch und räumlich, dass ich während ich das hier schreibe und daran denke eine Gänsehaut bekomme, speziell bei Lykke Li's Interpretation von Chris Isaacs "Wicked Game", Angelo Badalamenti's "Twin Peaks Theme" oder "Blue Velvet" gesungen von Sky Ferreira - WAHNSINN! Die Qualität setzt sich bei der Ausführung dieser Veröffentlichung fort: sauber gepresstes Vinyl in guten Antistatikhüllen und ausreichend dicke Pappe für das Cover der Gatefold und dazu noch das hammergeile Artwork - so wünscht man sich das! Fazit: Auch für nicht David Lynch/Twin Peaks Fans eine absolute Ebfehlung zumindest mal reinzuhören!
