Wikipedia says 'TEG is an eye irritant, and very hazardous if ingested. The substance is toxic to kidneys, the nervous system. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the substance can produce damage to these target organs.'

Is it suitable for kids skin?

It wasn't suitable for this 55 year old's skin (felt like it was on fire!) ... so, unless I got a contaminated bottle, no, I wouldn't recommend.
