Amazing Grass - Green Superfood Alkalizing & Energizing Raw Plant-Based 106542

Was completely accepted by my stomach, which is very unusual for my stomach with most supplements. I have advanced gastroporesis, which prevents successful digestion of vegetables & fruit. For over 3 years it has been a significant source for me of nutrition from greens. I mix it with almond milk or a fruit puree. My blood tests indicate it is helpful for me.

It’s a good product, I’ve been using it for years, but I’m not sure why they have a ten dollar price increase. That’s a big increase in price at one time. I’ll be canceling my subscription to this product.

I am attaching photos of my previous order label and my recently received order label, along with the two different scoop sizes old and new. Right click on each photo and "open in new tab" to enlarge and read easier. The formulation has changed, and not for the better!! The greens in the formula have dropped near a gram per serving. The taste is MARKEDLY sweeter. I have been ordering this (and the other green not-sweet formulation) for YEARS, perhaps a decade. It has been a boon to my vision (chlorophyll aids vision/ the back of the retina/ enhances light capture) and assuredly other unseen health benefits. The taste of this "Berry" formulation (the old one) was ever so slightly more rounded in the mouth than the total-green formulation, ever so slightly tart and full, only natural sweetness and no added sweeteners, with the same benefits as the total-green formula until now. I have TRUSTED this brand, UNTIL NOW. They CHANGED the FORMULA without disclosure! Where else have they cut corners that we cannot see? ALSO THEY CHANED THEIR SCOOP SIZE. See the photo of the large and small scoops, from previous and recent orders. THE LARGE SCOOP MEASURES 1 TABLESPOON, AND THE SMALL ONE HALF TABLESPOON (I measure and replace with metal measuring spoons always, to reduce plastic nanoparticles). There is no way the benefits per scoop are the same in the smaller scoop, they just wanted to save a quarter penny or so per scoop! In fact, THE NUTRITION ON THE LABEL IS LESS than before WITHOUT THE SIZE REDUCTION IN THE SCOOP FACTORED IN. I don't need the plastic scoop, I use metal after measuring scoop sizes, but it is a mark of distrust, and their label can no longer be trusted since they halved the scoop size but did not double the concentration. The greens going into the blend is lower. THERE IS FRUCTOSE IN THE NEW BLEND. Look at the "other ingredients" in the photo -- vastly different. The taste is of course sweeter -- masking what they have done to the blend. But it is the nutrition and trust that are violated. I can no longer trust this brand!! AMAZING GRASS, YOU ARE NO LONGER AMAZING, SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLED!

I have been using the Amazing Grass Green Superfood products for over a year and I love them! Amazing Grass is by far the best brand of powdered greens, in my opinion, as far as quality and price. I normally use the Original, but ordered the "Berry Flavor" in the 100 serving size because it was under $50, which is a fantastic price for this product! Plus the nutrient profile is almost exactly the same as the Original. That being said, since I already use this product I was well aware that this was NOT going to taste like berries. LOL at the reviews complaining that this product tastes bad. It is powdered veggies, fruits, and herbs with NO added sugars or sweeteners. It is not SUPPOSED to taste good. It is supposed to be good for your body (which extra sugar and artificial sweeteners are NOT)! Not every health supplement is going to taste wonderful. Come on, people. I take the greens with 8-10oz water first thing every morning, before eating or drinking anything else. The greens are a bit gritty, so I will usually let them sit in the fridge for about 5 minutes before drinking but that isn't totally necessary. I would just recommend drinking them quickly. It definitely helps me start my day off right and keeps my energy levels in check. It also helps keep me regular, if you know what I mean! That was the most noticeable effect when I first started using this product, but now my body has acclimated. I will also take a serving of greens if I have an upset stomach, and it almost always helps immediately by neutralizing whatever is going on down there. I can't recommend this product enough! I think it should be part of everyone's daily routine.

Never written a review before but I'm compelled to do so with this as I never quite stick with anything. Package arrived super quick (ordered it on Saturday afternoon around 5 pm, delivered Monday by 10:30 am). Just to try it out, I mixed a scoop with 4 ozs of Silk Fruit and Protein juice in a shaker bottle. Not bad at all. Didn't feel anything like some of the other posts exclaimed. The 100 serving version definitely offers more bang for your buck, especially when you plan on using it often. The plan: replace two meals a day (starting today 2/5/13) with an Amazing Grass Berry and Vanilla Spiru Tein shake mixed with 4 ozs of the Silk juice and 6 ozs of water for the next two weeks. 8 glasses of water throughout the day. Healthier dinner choice in appropriate portion. If unable to do so, will replace with another shake. Purpose: to realkalize and detoxify my body so it will serve me better. If I happen to drop a couple of pounds, that would be hella awesome! Statistics: 5'4 and about 180. I just lost my mom a few weeks ago at the new year and she had major health issues. I'm quite conscious of what I eat, but I can do a whole lot better. I believe automation will assist in me reaching my goals. My 13 year old son has joined the cause by doing just the Amazing Grass and the Silk juice in the morning. I will update as I see changes, results, side effects, etc. I hope by doing so I will be able to assist someone in reporting my experience. Stay tuned!
