Le Creuset Enamel-on Steel 8-Quart Covered Stockpot (Red)
We like the pot as we have always liked LE CREUSET products. We have used LE CREUSET products for about 20 years.

Enamel bond is extremely delicate, takes the slightest bump to crack it - would not buy again
I've had my Le Creuset Enamel on Steel 8 qt stock pot for around half a year now and I have to say that it's not Le Creuset's best product. The enamel is very loosely bonded to the steel, so you have to be incredibly delicate with all enameled parts. I've bumped the handles a couple of times when I was cleaning the pot and that was enough to cause chips. I dropped the lid on the floor and the enamel shattered off almost the entire lid. It's a real shame because otherwise, the performance of the pot is great. It heats and retains temps well, it does not impart off flavors to food, cleans easily, and heats evenly. I've had my pot for too long now to return it, but if I had the choice, I would not go for this item again in the future. I guess there's a reason that everyone goes for the cast iron line instead - the enamel-on-steel just isn't the same quality.
