Women's Women's Rest Amber Backstrap Sandal - Ladies Adjustable Walking Sandals with Concealed Orthotic Arch Support

The Rest Amber Backstrap Sandals are totally AUTHENTIC Vionics for those who want to know. I looked up “Walking Comfort” (based in Centerville, Utah) at the Vionic Store Locator on the Vionicshoes.com website, and it is on the list. I wear an 8-1/2 shoe, and the Size 8 sandals fits perfectly. This is my second pair of the same style I purchased a few years ago, and my feet absolutely love them!

I have to wear shoes with arch support and this shoe is great for that! Having adjustable straps on every strap is great. Some of the supportive sandals are really wide. These are a bit wider than my non-supportive, cute sandals, but not overly wide. I really like them and will get them in other colors! Worth the money.

These sandals are comfortable for me because I need the arch support. However,I can't wear Vionic unless there are velcro closings on the straps b ecause they are sp wide. With the velcro strap, I can pull the straps all the way across my foot so they are snug on my feet, but the straps stick out over the side. The strap that goes down the middle of the top of this sandal is removable. I took it off because the look of the shoe is just too busy for me with all the straps. Maybe it would be look better if the shoe wasn't so wide. Despite my complaints about the excessive width, I bought this sandal in two colors because I love the arch support nd the velcro strap makes it possible to wear these sandals.

Ok, I guess I just don't know what "stylish" is any more. Comfort has become number one priority in my life. I have read so many reviews that say that this sandal is not "stylish" and that it looks like a "grandma sandal." Or best yet, an "old lady sandal." Well, I am a grandma and I am 64 years old so I guess I'd agree. However, these sandals allow me to walk, without pain of any kind, 1 to 2 hours a day. 7 days a week. NO PAIN! So back to the stylish issue. If someone could show me 1. What "stylish" looks like and 2. What shoe is both stylish and comfortable, I'll buy them. Until then this old grandma, who walks daily and is VERY ACTIVE, wants comfort. (Shhhh... I think these shoes are pretty cute. But what do I know.,) Oh, I suffered from an Achilles injury while hiking on our cross country trip looking for covered bridges. My first pair of vionics were purchased while it healed. I now own 4 pair. Wore out one which I use in the garden. I have only purchased the sandal. Someday I'll try another style.

I bought the Samoa sandal first and loved the way they felt. Unfortunately I kept stepping out of them. So thought I’d get these and they really aren’t as comfortable as the Samoa at all. I may try a different size in the Samoa to see if I can keep them on. Im a half size so I read reviews to order a size down. In the Samoa and they were right on the edge of too small, so I ordered a size up on these. I also ordered a regular instead of a wide width and it worked out perfect. I’m starting to feel like Goldilocks, hoping I can find just the right one. Long story long, the Samoa has way more support, if you can get them to stay on your feet. These are hard for me.

Love Orthatheel shoes. Have a left foot that wants me to walk on the outside of the foot. Since I started wearing Orthaheel sandals my foot stays as it should with the wonderful arch support and the way the heel is made. I walked all over Disneyland in these sandals with no stockings and was comfortable all day & night and did not get any blisters. Couldn't say that about most other shoes that I've ever worn.

The style is so nice but they don’t work for me. I tried two different pairs of these thinking the first pair was a one-off with an odd arch support. Sadly, the same issue was present in the second pair. I’ve bought four other styles of this brand in the past and they were all great but not this style. The left sandal fits and supports fine. However, for me on the right instead of arch support it feels like there is a raised bar-like area going across my foot. It is not aligned with my arch and is uncomfortable. I’ve returned them.

These shoes are very attractive and fit well. Love the ability to have three straps to tighten them helping with my plantar fasciitis and even though I had to wear a compression sock these shoes made it able to wear it comfortably.
