That nasty stank your AC blows on hot summer mornings? Gone. I crawled under the car, sprayed the evaporator like a man on a mission, let it drain, then did it again just to be sure. Result: no more funky smells and my AC went from meh to ice-cold — I’m basically freezing my balls off even in stop-and-go traffic on 100° days.

I recently used the Nextzett 96110515 Klima-Cleaner Air Conditioner Cleaner on a Tesla Model Y, and it has proven to be an excellent choice for maintaining the air conditioning system. This cleaner excels at thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the internal components of the air conditioner, significantly enhancing both performance and air quality. I used the entire can in two applications. It is important to ensure that the foam completely filled the enclosure and reaches every corner of the evaporator coils. After approximately 20 minutes, the foam transformed into a liquid, resembling water, and safely dripped out from beneath the car. Before reinstalling the filters, I ran the fan for an additional 20 minutes to ensure the compartment was completely dry, preventing the filters from getting wet. One of the standout features of the Nextzett Klima-Cleaner is its ease of use. The product comes in a convenient spray bottle and includes a tube, which is essential for applying it directly to the evaporator coils and other accessible parts of the air conditioning unit. The foaming action of the cleaner effectively breaks down and removes dirt, grime, and mold buildup that can accumulate over time. This product is easy to use and it does what it says on the tin. Gets rid of nasty smelly air con smells.

I've used the Comma aircon cleaner for a few years, which is essentially an aerosol dispenser that circulates a mist throughout the car's interior and air vents. Whilst it was ok in curing smells for a few months, it never eradicated the musty burst when the aircon was first switched on. Those of you with a 2004-2007 Mercedes C-class will perhaps know what I mean. This Einszett product is something quite different though. A long tube is fed down the central dashboard airvent and the can's foam contents are then dispensed closer to the aircon evaporator (where the bugs generally form that cause the smells). You allow it to foam up and drain out underneath the car for about 30 mins, before firing up the aircon to dry the system out. Note that even though the tube is long, the foam does expand its way back up to the air vents, so best to have some kitchen towel handy to mop up any small drips on the dashboard. The great thing is there is no strong fragance to attack your nostrils in the days after a treatment. Plus, there's no musty smells at all. Will use this product again as a preventative treatment. Easy 5 star.
