Attractive and makes it easy to control flow and temperature
This has been a welcome improvement to our bathroom. I chose it for its styling, its use of reliable ceramic valves and the reputation of Ideal Standard. The only downside was that the provided waste is not British standard. It was easy enough to buy an adapter from a plumbing supply store, but this should be included for UK distribution.

Good quality
As you would expect from the brand, good quality. Bought from the amazon warehouse so it was really good value

Quality product let down by cheap component and poor support
Bought this as a replacement for a previous Ideal standard tap. The new tap is a quality product that is let down by two items (a) it has a cheap plastic connector that connects the two rods for the pop-up waste. The screw in this connector is too small to lock onto the rod for it to operate no matter how hard you try and tighten it. In the end I used the salvaged part from the old tap to do the job. Clear example of cost cutting ruining an otherwise excellent product, (b) The pop-up waste unit itself came with a foam ring between the bottom of the waste unit and the rubber seal. It is not clear from the instructions if this foam ring was to form part of the installation or be removed. The instructions are not clear on this point and the Ideal website is a waste of time from a customer support perspective. It is aimed at selling its products rather than providing support and guidance to those people that have bought their goods.I have a couple of more taps in my house that I want to replace but based on this experience I shall be looking to purchase them elsewhere.

These taps come with tails already fitted.
Taps of the quality expected, however.Nowhere in the product description does it say they are supplied with "tails" already fitted.I purchased a set of tails which I did not need a waste of money.Poor product description..

Beautiful polished finish , excellent quality and performance
You can see the quality of this mixer tap instantly straight out of the box , it has a beautiful polished chrome finish , you can see your face in it , it has some weight to it and the build quality is excellent.I like that it comes with a 5 year guarantee it shows that ideal standard are confident in the quality of their products and they are built to last , I am also confident that this tap will last year's, it's very well made , it has a really smooth action when moving the arm of the tap when switching from hot to cold or vice versa. It's not the cheapest but you sometimes have to pay for quality, we hadn't changed our tap for years and we can't half notice the difference in quality since using this ideal standard mixer tap.I'm very impressed and very pleased with the overall quality and performance , excellent quality from ideal standard , I would definitely recommend. It's shinier and more polished than our existing sink basin but it still matches really well.It comes really well packaged , our neighbour fitted it for us as I'm hopeless at DIY , it took him less than an hour and looked pretty straight forward.

Definitely worthy
Yes, it's £90 and you could be forgiven into thinking that's rather expensive but it's one of those occasions where you really do get what you pay for.Build quality is off the chart. There's a 5 year guarantee but I really can't see that getting used. It's super solid and the action is silky smooth. The end product of water is delivered aeriated as stated and it certainly feels lighter (or fluffier?) as you wash your hands, which is more often nowadays! So that's the eco part of it - less water used for the same cleaning time and it works. I'm not sure but I think the other eco bit is the tap magically sending out cold water before hot (no matter what the position). If you are only using it for a quick rinse, there's no need to move the horizontal and you'll get a glug of cold water before the combi boiler is needlessly called to kick in. Good idea with no electronics involved.Fitting a tap doesn't happen that often so I would say it's well worth splashing out on one like this. Our only issue is this tap embarrasses the rest of the bathroom!

Nice quality but absolutely huge
From the dimensions given, I expected this tap to be a bit bigger than the current one. But in reality it looked absolutely huge! Also it did not seem possible to replace the flexible tails with safer copper tails. Seemed high quality but never used. Amazon return worked great
