Awesome piece of Kit, best money can buy.
First of all I’d like to say thanks to the Poweroak Direct customer services who have been fantastic. The product arrived earlier than expected and I’ve been putting it through its paces for the last few days. This morning in the garage (see pics) I ran a 1250w industrial vacuum cleaner for 40 mins whilst it charged my phone at the same time. No problems what so ever.I’ve tried it with the wife’s Dyson hair straighteners and hair dryer, again not an issue.Presently it’s still charging my phone and running 2x Makita battery chargers with ease. After the vacuum and battery charging, (roughly 90 mins total) I’m presently at 92% still. This is an awesome piece of equipment, the next big test is to run the entire motorhome with it, instead of mains hook-up, as we intend to do more wild camping after lockdown.Buy with confidence you will not be disappointed.

Camper conversion
Following on from our lockdown project, we converted and old minibus into a day camper, allowing us to have all we need to cook and stay outside all day (kitchen set + toilet, etc. However, the power needs with having a load of children in there seemed to outweigh any of the leisure batteries we could find, so we needed to find on that could cope with including a couple of laptops and a coffee machine (i know more glamping than anything else)The Poweroak AC200P copes with it without even breaking a sweat, i have a smaller solar panel connected to it from the roof of the bus that trickles in charge all the time so we never even need to charge it up ourselves and this allows us to keep a constant supply of power for all the kids devices as well as my on the go work devices and even a full sized under counter fridge we have to keep drinks cool. It's reasonably compact for what you get out of it and actually perfectly slides into a space underneath the seats out of the way. We then pull it out for use when needed or leave it there for the kids to plug into whilst on the move without them arguing over who gets power. It has 2 standard UK plug ports on the side as well as outlets for USB devices or cables amongst other ports. We use the UK plugs and USB ports most of the time though and these seem to connect well with no issues at all.Overall the unit itself, not only looks sleek and high quality but actually feels that way too, it's a weighty device that is really solidly built (so much so, the kids have knocked it off the back of the bus and it didn't even have a scratch on it.)

Does it all
All solar generators/storage are quite expensive for what you get, compared to building your own, which will appeal to some more than others. These are generally marketed to caravanners, rv owners and campers, but having one at home in case of power cut is a brilliant use for those who need medicine stored or need a cpap or nebuliser powered. This unit has a 2kwh inverter with surge abilities that go far beyond that, meaning that with the exception of your home electric shower and oven, it can tackle pretty much anything either offgrid or in the event of a powercut. If you don't know what 2kw total power (different to 2kwh max output) can power or for how long, you need to read up some more. Short version is 2kw is 1 hour at max capacity then the battery will be flat. Most people in most circumstances will get days out of this if they know what they are doing. Also note that usable full to empty will not be the full 2kw as some is protected to prolong battery life.In short, best unit available at the time of writing, but it's a fast moving technology. No need for a bigger dc to ac inverter, but more capacity will be cheaper as time goes on.

Not as described for product reliability
I bought it as it was highly acclaimed but turned out not so, faulty, with the first good sun tried to charge from 200W brand new Renology solar panels from Amqazon but did not charge, shows input voltage but no current. I did not spent £2000 to charge from mains, this defeats the object. Now as it stand I can not charge from solar due to fault of the unit and have gone over 31 January 2022for refund frm Amazon I have to go through charge back from credit card. I would certainly not recommend. I have written to seller hope they will rectify the fault at their own expense.

A beast of a power unit
I have read a lot of reviews about this solar power unit and I have to say, I am very happy with it so far. I haven't had the chance to really use it to its max but initial tests are all positive.

Portable solar power station
The item received in time well packaged. It is easy to use. I use to charge with solar energy (not much these days) and use to power up a item such as hotplate, toaster and microwave. It is more expensive than expected. So far I am pleased with its performance, hope it will continue to perform reliably.
