No sound..but my son LOVED it!!

nope, it's a silent toy that does not shoot anything out of it

How big is this? The size of one hand to hold it?

It's about the size of a medium pizza. Perfect for a 10 year old hand to hold

Does this actually shoot the needles? Or is this just a pretend weapon?

This is just a pretend weapon and does not shoot the needles. It's more of a costume item than a toy. My son carried wit with his Halloween costumer, but doesn't play with it.
