Don’t listen before bed - you’ll be up dancing around all night!
Bought these for my husband. I usually like the in-ear type headphones but I tried these on one night and couldn’t stop looking up all kinds of music to listen to! Everything sounded amazing - especially music labeled “8D Audio”. Try that .. you won’t be sorry but you might lose sleep like I did because I just wanted to keep listening :)) They are a little bit too big so they sit a tad lower on my head even when adjusted as small as it will go. Not a deal breaker though. Battery life is great as far as I can tell, can’t hear anything outside of these headphones and the sound quality is awesome.

Nice
My son really likes these. He said they help him filter out all the non-stop noise and help him relax.

okay or good at everything, master of nothing
I review these headphones in the context of price category. Keep in mind that there are many wireless ANC headphone around the $200 dollar mark.Build quality 4/5: No build quality issues. Plastics is good quality and so are the pads and everything else. 1 Star reduced for the buttons and switches. Buttons are good with okay feedback but are a little loose. Same with the ANC switch, it is loose and has week feedback. Buttons were an afterthought here, but this doesn't effect usage or sound. It just gives a cheap feel when everything else feels top notch. The band is metal reinforced and strong. As you extend the band, there are notches and numbered lines to get that perfect fit every time.Clamp force 3/5: I have a bigger than average head. These have pretty heavy clamp force. I have to take a break from these after a few hours. This is great for active people. These will stay on through head banging and heavy movement. I use these at a desk or Windows PC so I prefer loose comfort over heavy clamp force. The clamp pressure does supply excellent noise cancellation though.ANC 3/5: ANC is okay. The best part of the Noise Cancellation is the clamp pressure though. That along with the firm nature of the faux padding contribute to 80% of the noise cancellation. The ANC is fairly bad hear in comparison to similar priced options on the market. Also turn on or off the ANC function changes the quality of the sound. With ANC on voices and other similar sounds are clearer while with ANC off you get a deeper more bass rich sound. both are good, but I dislike that the quality of sound changes with ANC on. It shouldn't. Testing the ANC versus no ANC provides little change to the noise cancellation. Again, the cup seal is doing most of the work here.Battery Life 5/5: With ANC on and off this headset last all day without reaching any battery warning. When I say day, I mean 14-15 hrs running. As long as the headphones can last a full heavy use day my battery needs are met. If listening to music a few hours a day, these will last you a week to weeks.Sound quality 5/5: Sound is excellent here and well balanced. From the lows to the highs the sound is well balanced. Bass is there and will satisfy the rap listener but no so overpowered to detract from other listening experiences like voice, podcast, or movies. Keep in mind that sound is different with ANC on or off. ANC on sounds better. It is a little louder and little clearer. There is less low end, but you still get good bass while reducing dullness of muffled lows. There is more separation with ANC on. That doesn't make ANC off bad. There were a few popular current songs I preferred with ANC off but those cases were outliers. Honestly, ANC should not change the sound signature but at least in this case ANC on sounds better than off. I would give 4/5 here but I deducted from the ANC category instead. If not for the ANC sound signature issues these would easily be a 5/5 product. Perhaps it is just my set or something they can rectify with future revisions. Either way this is a good headset that would be a steal at $150.00. At $200 there is a ton of bigger name competition that I would probably choose is ANC or clamp force is an issue. I will say I will continue to use these as house work yard work headphones due to the clamp force being good for those things.

An excellent budget alternative to Sony or Bose
I wasn’t familiar with Ausounds before trying these headphones, so I was very curious as to how they might compete against the big hitters - Bose, Sony, etc. - in the over-ear ANC headphones market, especially considering the fact that the AU-XTs are significantly cheaper than many of the offerings of the big name brands. I have to say that I’m quite impressed, though not 100% blown away.First things first, the comfort. All of my daily wear headphones are over ears as I need to use them for up to 8 hours at a time, and over a full day of use I can’t stand earbuds. My benchmark for comfort is my Razer Blackshark gaming headset, light as a cloud and so comfortable you’d forget you were wearing them, and while the Ausounds set couldn’t quite meet that standard it wasn’t all that far away. The earcups are large enough to sit comfortably on the ears, and their PU leather doesn’t get too warm after a couple of hours as many do. The tension in the headband is a little much for me - I guess my head is a little larger than average as this is a common issue - but it’s not uncomfortably tight. All in all, well designed. The looks of these headphones are nothing special. The design is simple and pretty plain, though that’s no problem for me. I like the fact that the ANC is controlled by a physical switch, as it’s too easy to forget to turn it off when it’s a button, which will cost you battery life. I have to say that the switch itself doesn’t feel too nice, though. Definitely built down to a budget. As far as sound quality is concerned these make for very good all rounders. I spent a day watching a couple of movies and listening to podcasts and a little music, and while nothing made me giddy with excitement I wasn’t disappointed. The AU-XTs are just solid across the spectrum. Enough bass to satisfy anyone who doesn’t really need much of it, and capable mids and highs. All in all the sound was about the standard I’ve come to expect at this price point, though I would have appreciated an app that allowed me to dial in my own sound profile. I suffer from severe tinnitus that messes with certain frequencies, so a personalised sound profile is always useful to me.Finally, the ANC. It’s pretty good. Personally I’m not a fan of ANC but the headphones managed to completely eliminate the loud low frequency hum of the fridge that sits beside my desk. At higher frequencies it performs OK, though I’ve experienced better. I think the close and fairly tight fit of the earcups really helps boost the ANC by physically blocking out sound, though, so unless you live by a construction site I don’t think you’ll be bothered by the noise. All in all these are very capable headphones. Would you get better performance with a $350 pair of Sony or Bose? Yeah, sure. Would you get better performance that makes up the $150 price difference? No, I don’t think so. At this price these things are a bargain.

Graphene Driver Wins Out Over Dynamic
When it comes to the technological side of sound there are a few possibilities. Graphene versus Dynamic. The debate between the two is very controversial when it comes to sound into our ears. And that is a matter of what you want to hear! For example, do you want tighter bass and high end? Then dynamic is your system. And to get that, you will have to pay in weight of your gear on your head. Graphene is a softer more organic sound. The debate continues because graphene can do things dynamic cannot… And back and forth. Most headphones out there are dynamic. Anyone who compares a dynamic headset to this one and calls it inferior, needs to take a moment and learn. Graphene drivers are pricy, and this headphone is amazing! They are lightweight, durable, solid sounding, with good noise reduction for a non-dynamic, and all-around performance, I prefer Graphene on my head when I am jamming to my music!
