TTArtisan makes photography fun again
The 50mm f/1.2 is my third lens purchase from TTArtisan, and I absolutely love it. Is it technically perfect? No, but it's very good and I'm more than happy with the way it renders. If I want technically perfect, I'll grab my Nikon Z8 that I haven't picked up in months. I purchased a great little Fuji XT30 ii, and did not want to invest a ton of money into another brands lenses when I'm so heavily invested in Nikon. My original plan was to purchase old manual adapted lenses for my Fuji on Ebay, garage sales, etc.. Demand has gone through the roof, and people are charging crazy prices for old glass like the Canon FD 50 f1.4. Not to mention you need adapters for each lens, and now the size/bulk gets bigger which is what stopped me from carrying my camera around in the first place. I also own the TTArtisan 23mm f1.4 and 35 Tilt. These inexpensive lenses are fantastic for the price, and more importantly have made photography fun again! I carry my camera EVERYWHERE now, much to the annoyance of my wife. Luckily she understands, and there's no risk of divorce for spending 7-8K on new lenses made by Fuji. The only con for me with this lens is the screw on lens cover. This sharp metal threading is the perfect device to scratch you glass with when you're in a hurry, and a pain in general. Not a big deal at all. Just pick up a $8 lens hood with cap, throw the original back in the box, and you're good to go.

Exceptional lens
Got this lens during Black Friday so 20% off. At that price around $90, itโs such a steal. Dof is tricky at f1.2 but i like the manual experience, slowing me down and makes me ponder more before taking the shot. People mention itโs soft and all, but since Iโm an amateur, I donโt care. I find it plenty sharp for my taste and I freaking love it. All the rings are well dampened but not too much friction, all and all easy to use. I chose this over the f0.95 cuz of half price, but tbh I am kinda fomo a bit, wanna try out that f0.95 experience but oh well. Anyway, this price and f1.2, itโs a steal guys. Just get it.

Amazing value lens
Pretty damn sharp lens for $125. I use it with my XH1 and itโs a lot of fun. The focus ring is smooth and has a nice resistance to it. Bokeh is nice. Canโt really beat it for the price. It doesnโt compare to my Zeiss Loxiaโs but thatโs not what I got it for.

Amazing for the price
This lens is beautiful and feels very well built. So far it takes sharp images. It is a manual lens with a very smooth aperture ring. Iโve noticed a tiny bit of discoloration around the edges in low light images, but itโs easy to edit out. Overall very happy, and I suspect this will be one of my go to lenses for an artistic street or portrait setting.

Excellent value, but just a good lens, too
Thereโs probably not much I could say about this lens that hasnโt already been said. It feels like a quality piece when you open it up, and performs extremely well for the price. If you donโt mind the manual focus and smooth aperture ring, there is no better deal on a lens out there. Just get it.

Worth the buy
Dope lens for the price, not too heavy either. Works great on my Fuji xs20

Feels premium!
Pretty hefty, fully metal and cold to the touch. Focus ring feels kinda stiff, but I don't mind it that much. I originally wanted to get the 50mm f0.95, but i'm glad I went with this instead, the image quality is pretty great even wide open!

standout choice for portraiture, street photography
This lens is exceptional for its price and delivers truly impressive optical performance. The F1.2 aperture provides beautiful, creamy bokeh and excellent low-light capabilities, allowing precise subject isolation and striking background separation. Sharpness is outstanding across the frame, even wide open, with minimal chromatic aberration or distortion. Build quality is solid and feels premium, with a smooth, well-damped focus ring that makes manual focusing precise and enjoyable. The compact design is ideal for APS-C and M43 cameras, offering a balance of portability and professional-level performance. Color rendering and contrast are excellent, giving images a natural yet vibrant look straight out of the camera. Overall, the Xmount version of the TTArtisan 50mm F1.2 is a technically impressive, beautifully crafted lens that combines optical quality, handling, and affordability, making it a standout choice for portraiture, street photography, and creative low-light work
