This trimmer works well on my beard. For the money it is an excellent buy. The only thing I do not like about it is that when you place the trimmer in the charger the light does not light up so your never really sure if you have it seated in the charger correctly. The red light only lights up when the trimmer is fully charged.

I bought this to shave my husband's neck hair. I am sorry to report it does not shave close enough. It is a nice size, easy to handle, but I am very disappointed. Would not recommend it to shave a neck.

UPDATE:Updated to five stars (for now!). Again, the trimmer is great. When I posted my previous review concerning the battery compartment, the seller responded to the comment and asked that I email them from their website with my address and they would send me a new one. They did, I got it in a reasonable amount of time, and the battery (so far) is working as it should. I would make a suggestion to the seller (or maybe Amazon) - you already have all of my information, you know, since you had just shipped me the first trimmer - you should have the wherewithal to use that information to send me the replacement rather than having me go search out a way to contact you. I'm a jerk (and well aware of it), so I had to say that. Anyway, great seller, good communication, and now happy with my purchase. I would buy from him again and suggest others do also.Old:The trimmer itself is good, it does it's job better than most I have. The major problem I'm having is the battery compartment door keeps falling off while I'm using it. It's extremely annoying. There's an arbitrary button that looks like it might be for the battery door, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. Maybe I just got a defective one, but the extreme annoyance dropped it down two stars. I wouldn't recommend.

I liked the compact design but it is really cheaply made. Battery doesn't charge properly.

I purchased this shaver to replace an old one that was not working so well in order to trim my beard. I have so far been impressed with the product. This is what I like about it. I like the sturdiness of the shaver itself. Looking at the shaver through the packaging, I was a bit skeptical of how solid it would be. However, it has a nice weight and feels like it will last quite a while. I also like the different sizes of the attachments. (My previous one forced me to trim my beard a bit shorter than I really wanted.) I also like how long the charge lasts. It came with some charge out of the box and I have yet to need to charge it at all. The only aspect that I wish were different is the width. If it were a bit wider, the shaving process would be faster. It really is not a big deal, but it is the only improvement that I could consider. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and am quite happy I purchased it.

Pretty decent build quality, except that the battery door just won't stay shut. Interesting thing, the battery is AA size so you can use regulary batteries, but the rechargeable one is more powerful.5 stars if the battery door did not fly off all the time. . .UPDATE - 3/27/2017 - seller read my comment about the door and immediately sent me a new trimmer. The replacement works perfectly. The door shuts firmly and stays shut.UPDATE - 5/16/2018 - I've been using the trimmer happily for over a year. Until today. I dropped the trimmer and the guard attachment broke. I've dropped several other trimmers and would have expected other things to break before the guard attachment. Anyway, it's far more fragile than I thought. I'll let you know if Jay can sell me a replacement guard.UPDATE - 5/20/18 - Back to 5 stars. Jay called me and offered to send me a replacement guard for free!!! Astonishing customer service!!!

I would give it 2 stars for the simple fact that it does cut hair, but am giving it 1 to try and balance out the rating. This thing is horribly underpowered. My facial hair is very patchy and I could never grow a beard, but it still has trouble cutting hair. I bought this so I could go outside and trim using my truck mirror to keep from putting hair down the drain. I'm going back to the corded on for now

Really happy with this little trimmer - exactly what I needed to keep my beard at a uniform length. Convenient and attractive charger stand takes up very little room on my bathroom counter. Every few days I can just switch it on, trim the beard down to the length I want, brush off the excess hair, stick it back in the charger stand, and it's ready for me to use next time.I have gone through several beard trimmers (including trimmers that cost much more than this one), and this is my favorite so far.My only caveat - I wouldn't use this for anything but keeping a beard trimmed. So, if you are looking for something that trims hair generally (like on your head or elsewhere on the body), this trimmer isn't ideal for those purposes. But, for keeping a beard trimmed, this little gadget beats everything else I have tried.
