I have always loved the culture and traditions behind traditional henna applications, and recently ordered some powder to make henna paste. I specifically ordered these tattoos in the hopes that I'd be able to use them to practice with the henna and maybe trace the designs.The first thing I noticed was how large they are. I have attached some photos to show an example of the size of my hand vs the size of the design. At first, I thought it would be no big deal, because traditional designs done with paste usually wrap around the fingers, palm and wrist. The issue that I had, though, was that because of the thick paper backing, it's almost impossible to lay the design flat and still wrap the design around.The designs did transfer easily with a simple wet paper towel. The design on the back of my hand stayed about 2 days. The designs on my fingers started to peel within a few hours, which I wasn't too happy about, but then again, most temporary tattoos simply are not made to be very durable.All in all, I would only recommend this as an accessory for a 1 night thing, such as a costume party or something. It's cute and does transfer efficiently, but doesn't have the staying power that it would have if it was applied to other areas of the body.I did receive this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. I bought these as a lark and didn't have particularly high hopes, but I am still fairly disappointed. I thought that henna would last longer, but I don't think that this is actually made from henna. I think that it is just a regular temporary tattoo. Maybe the "henna" in the product title is just meant to reference the style, but I feel that it is a bit misleading. I applied one hand of tattoos this morning and I love the way they look, but it is about 12 hours later at this point in time and every single one of the finger tattoos are half gone. I haven't done anything that has been particularly abrasive and I have been mindful of the tattoos while washing my hands today. I was talking to one of my friends about them coming off and she thought that maybe it was just because they were on my fingers, but that is where these have been designed to be placed, so I would think that they would have a bit more staying power than less than 12 hours. I have been using a a lot of temporary metallic tattoos lately and I have placed some of them on my fingers as well and they lasted 2-3 days before coming off. So, overall, I love the way these look, but I am really not impressed with how long they last. If you are so enamored of them I would recommend saving these for a one event only kind of situation, like a party, and only apply them an hour before going out, or else you are going to be walking around with peeling tattoos. I love these black henna temporary tattoos. The designs are beautiful, intricate and detailed. They look great on and are super easy to apply. Obviously they don't last as long as traditional henna, but they are so much easier to apply and are great for someone like me who isn't the most artistic person in the world. Plus, this is an easy way to have henna on your dominant hand because if you're like me there is no way you will be able to get a design as clean and detailed as this with traditional henna trying to apply it with your non-dominant hand.In this pack you get two sheets of henna temporary tattoos in black. They come on cut out hands to show an example layout of how to apply the designs. However, you can easily change the layout of the designs and apply them in any order you want. They are advertised as henna for your hands and feet, which is where I applied them, but you can apply them wherever you want. I will definitely be purchasing more of these because they are so fun, look cute, and are super easy to apply. Well, to begin with, I didn't even know they made these! I think they're super super dope. I've been wanting to get henna for a while now because I love the intricate detail that goes into each individual henna. However, the closest place to get it done is miles away from where I live so I just gave up on doing it any time soon. But these literally changed everything for me.What I love the most about these is how you can get the intricate, detailed design that a real person would do for you in the form of a temporary tattoo. The fact that this is even possible completely blows my mind. I really love how easy they go on to the back of my hand as well and onto the wrist. I was worried about if they'd show on my mocha/caramel skin tone (I'm a NC50 in MAC) but it literally showed right up. So yes, I'm very impressed. I'm happy I found these and was able to get a discount on them in exchange for an honest review.
