I wanted a simple look to attend a formal affair. I love that it includes 6 button studs rather than 4, which most other provide. If you ever want to take off your vest, it's nice to see studs all the way down the shirt, giving a cleaner more sophisticated look.

This set of tuxedo cufflinks and shirt buttons was the perfect accessory for the gala I attended last night. The buttons that came with my tux shirt were plastic and it did not even come with cufflinks, so I ordered this set with only a day to spare. The stainless steel and sleek black looked great with my tux. My only complaint, is that the back of the buttons was JUST a little too narrow for my shirt button holes and the buttons fell out very easily. I fortunately did not lose any, and I can sew my shirt button holes just a little to ensure it doesn't happen again, but didn't have time for the event last night. Overall, these are great accessories for a formal event and I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of them. I will note this i snot necessarily "giftable" because it comes in a pretty plain box individually wrapped in tiny zip bags. The box isn't even really good for long term storage. That said, this doesn't seem like a "gift" item anyway, more like something you order for a specific event you are going to... so that doesn't bother me in the least.

My dad liked them. They're simple and clean. Get your 50yo pop something simple. Pair it with a stainless watch band to show youre actually thinking about em.

These are good quality and go perfectly with a tuxedo.
