Campbell-Hausfeld CW301300AJ Air Compressor Pressure Switch Kit

Used to replace the pressure switch on my aging air compressor. Easily installed, although the instructions could have been clearer on how the compression tubing connectors worked. I used a combination of my old gauges and the new ones to decrease the foot print this switch requires. The pressure regulator seems inexpensively made, but it works surprisingly well. My compressor is a DIYer tool for light duty air tools and filling flats at our small horse ranch, so it was a good option to rejuvenation the failed unit.

Revived my 22 year old campbell hausfeld 3 1/2 hp. air compressor. All the parts are there including well written & pictorial diagrams. Honestly, the hardest part was getting the power cord & motor cord to stay in place until the cord retainer could be attached. Plugged the cord into the outlet & turned the switch on. After the pressure reached 125 lbs. the compressor shut off. The compressor comes back on when the pressure goes below 110 lbs. The original pressure switch failed & i didn't realize it until the the safety valve blew at 140 lbs. Good to know that adaptable parts are still made to keep these old compressors running!

A little pricey but it is pretty easy to install and works perfectly. I was tempted to cobble together cheaper parts to accomplish what this kit does but I am glad I didn't. It saved my low-time 26-year-old Campbell-Hausfeld compressor from the junk yard. Hope to get another 10 or 20 years occasional use out of it.

Nothing wrong with this Air Compressor Switch Kit. It's just that it didn't fix my problem. I had air leaking from under the Pressure Switch. So I ordered this kit and installed it. But it still leaked. Turned out to be a bad Check Valve CV221503AJ which cost half of what this Pressure Switch costs. I probably needed a new Pressure Switch anyway, so it's no big deal. But it would have been a lot cheaper if I had just purchased the Check Valve first.

I purchased this poorly made set of gauges, pressure switch and regulator to replace my 12 year old unit. One of the gauges was totally useless as the paper dial and needle were not where they were supposed to be. The paper dial face was literally bent inside the housing, the needle was laying in the bottom and I'm unclear as to how that could have happened in shipping. I would have just used my old gauge but the thread sizes were incompatible (1/4" vs 3/8") meaning I would have to use an adapter to make the old gauge work on the new regulator. Due to the poor quality control of products going out their door, I'll not use this supplier again.

I paid $71 dollars for this pressure switch kit and was disappointed to see the poor quality of the gauges that are provided in the kit. It is just a piece of paper that is moving around freely in the gauge. I went to the hardware store and bought some good gauges but feel that they should have came in the kit. Three stars from me not bad, but not good!

It would have been nice if some written assy instructions had been included since the replacement unit had a different design .Finally found assembly instructions on line on the campbell -hausfeld web site However once assembled the new unit worked well.

3 years in, still good to go! So cheap compared to what was on the old compressor, but hey, it works.
